Hello uze7, Here is the wiring match up for a 2009 Subaru Forester using the Metra 70-7552 wiring harness: NOTE: The actual harness will be listed as a Nissan harness, but has been used by Subaru since 2007. Also, I'm assuming that your Sony deck uses the standard color code. If not, you should have a manual that lists the function along with the colors. Match the wiring by function, not by color (although the colors may be the same). 2009 Subaru Forester Radio Wiring Color Code: Battery BLUE/RED (+) RADIO HARNESS Accessory YELLOW/RED (+) RADIO HARNESS Ground BLACK (-) RADIO HARNESS Illumination VIOLET (+) RADIO HARNESS Dimmer BLACK/WHITE (-) RADIO HARNESS Power Antenna YELLOW/BLACK (+) RADIO HARNESS LF Speaker (+) BROWN LF Speaker (-) BROWN/WHITE RF Speaker (+) BLUE/WHITE RF Speaker (-) BLUE/YELLOW LR Speaker (+) WHITE/BLACK LR Speaker (-) RED/YELLOW RR Speaker (+) GRAY RR Speaker (-) GRAY/RED Metra Harness: Yellow ? 12V Constant Red ? 12V Accessory Black - Ground Orange ? I have a 98 grand prix an I was wondering how to install it.. I have a harness that came with it but my factory harness won't fit. I was wondering if j have to rewire the factory harness to my JVC...

You need to go to your local "best buy" or electronics store and ask them for your car's "stereo wire harness". This will convert the wires from your car to match all the colors from your deck. (green, purple, white, gray, blue, yellow, red, ect. Same on all after market decks. All brands use the same wires) Take that new harness and your deck harness, twist the matching wire colors together, tape them with electrical tape, plug the harness back into the car and deck, and it should be good. Click, click, done. Remember to plug the antenna in as well before you get the deck in.

I dont hAVE THE wire hardness for my deck and wondering if am able to get just that part

http://www.shopping.com/Clarion-VRX485VD-wire-harness/products?CLT=SCH

The ones i see listed are not an exact model number match, however, in my experience have found that most harnesses will fit models from the same make... for example, when you swap a Sony deck you can replace it with another Sony deck with a different model number just by unplugging the harness from the deck itself and plugging it into the new deck.

Whats the proper way to install the cd player into a 1992 chevy pick up truck and if u cud send a manuel

The proper way to install any aftermarket deck into a newer vehicle is to get a factory wiring harness adapter. This adapter will attach to the existing wiring harness for your factory stereo system. You can purchase these from various websites like this http://us.ebid.net/for-sale/1992-chevy-pickup-fullsize-radio-wire-harness-92-17373248.htm?from=googlebase

When you plug this in your factory speakers and power/ground will all be available to wire to your new deck without cutting or splicing any wires. The colors follow the E.I.A standard and should match your new stereo. I hope this is helpful and thanks for using FixYa.

I am trying to wire a sony xplod deck to my 2001 altima and need to know which wires connect to each other and steps of doing that.

Hello charlieramir,

The wiring color code for the 2001 Altima can be found here. Your Sony deck should have come with a wiring harness and an installation sheet (or a page in the user manual) that shows the color and function of each wire. You simply match up the functions of each wire on the harness with the appropriate wire on your vehicle.

A simpler and more professional installation is achieved by using a vehicle-specific wiring harness that plug into your Altima's wiring. Such a wiring harness allows you to make all of the connections while seated at the dining room table or other well-lighted location instead of the limited space area behind the dash. The Scosche NN03B/NN03 seems to be the correct harness for your Altima.

Hope this helps.

I want to take out factory radio to install stereo

Stereo dealers have wire harness adapters for almost every make and model of car. It will come with a connector both with color coded pigtails that are usually prestripped. The package will described which wires go where and their color codes. The deck you bought should have a pigtail with color coded wires and they'll match up to the ones on the harness adapter for your car.
After connecting them all properly, you can take your deck with the attached pigtail and plug adapter and plug it directly into your car stereo plug where your old radio was connected...don't forget the anntenna lead as well... Not to difficult...email if you get stuck...

I am having trouble trying to install a stereo to my 1994 lincoln town car because i dont now the color code to the radio harnes so i can install it

Best thing to do is purchase a Radio Wiring Harness. These can be purchased at a Store like Circuit City, Best Buy, WalMart (not sure of your location) or a 12 Volt Specialty shop.

This harness will connect to your new radio harness and plug directly into the vehicle harness without having to cut wires. The Radio Wiring Harness will come with color identification to match to your radio harness.
