I have no color on my samsung hln5065wx/xaa DLP tv. Is it my color wheel or bulb ?

Some of these (many) had issues with a color wheel---high pitched or fan light sound that declines when set turned off----Got this?

that's from a thermal switch, to keep the innards cool, post use. Seems to me that you might just check to see that all vents are open and clear of debris, for starters.

The tv is making loud noises like humming or motor noises and tv have strange colors flashes or black and white backgrond flashes.The tv Colors wheel it is dying and not spinning the right speed of it RMP speed any more.The tv colors wheel must have be replaced to solved this problems.Have no mechanicals skills hire a tv tech. to change the tv colors wheel because u have to take out alot of mechanical parts out before u can come to the tv colors wheel itself to replace it.

Sounds like one of the plugs did not go back it properly on the DMD board or the ballast board. Check all connections.

That model is a plasma TV? Plasma TV's don;t use color wheels. Only the DLP sets do.

Regarding the tv turning, my question is, do you hear a clicking sound? if so, it's most probable tio be your ballast, that might not have enough voltage to keep on with your lamp, and that's why it shuts off.
You could try replacing it and seeing if it resolves your issue, I believe they're running around 70 dlls..

You need a new color wheel. Go to www.samsung.com and do some searches. I had to have someone come out and replace mine.
