I have switched on machine (franke flair ) and message flashes between 'rinse unit ' and 'system fill ' . i have preesed rinse , water comes out of hot water pipe but then returns to same messages
I had a new Flair. The technician directed me to use a full bottle of the descale fluid and cycle the rinse button several times then to let it rest for 15 minutes or so. This was repeated for several iterations....It worked and I'm having no problems.

I am a Franke technician. After and possibly during the descale, because probably you haven'nt done it in a long time, steam was able to escape through the fittings as the limescale damaged the silicone rings beforehand. The steam damaged the klixxons or the thermoblock itself. You will need one of us unfortunately....
The water tank has a float magnet in the left hand side of the tank. A reed switch is mounted inside the machines right hand panel which senses if the tank is empty. If you remove the tank and fill with water and the display indicates fill tank. The sensor may have failed. Or the float has stuck in the down possition. If the display indicated filll sytem and or rinse. Then the sensor is fine. The next stage is to try rinsing . If it keeps saying filll system or rinse then there may be a blockage in the tank. Or the flow meters have failed. This is assuming water is being dispensed from the water arm etc . If no water is being dispensed and this time assuming you can hear the pumps running. Then there possibly be a blockage in a thermoblock. I could go on for ever guessiing based on the info you discribed. If any more info is required please say
the two main reasons for this are the on off switch located on the back of the machine is switched off. the other is the flap to the grinders is not correctly fitted. other than this an exporative visit by an engineer may be required. there are two mains fuses situated by the cable inlet behind the rear panel.
You were sold a dud, these machines are renowned for this problem, try and get a refund or your best bet would be to put it back on the auction site if your conscious will let you.

What you would have to do is take the side panel off to get at the solenoid. It is probably sticking closed and not letting the water fill into the boiler.
