For some unknown reason my hp 6310 has just started printing internet text (mapquest, orbitz etc) either very small (Joey's resturant menu) or very large (google map directions) any help, please.

Check if Hp smart web printing is installed in the computer.
Try uninstalling it.
also goto the printing preferences and check the settings there.

This issue can be fixed easily.

All in one 6310 -- reset power with lights

Normal 0 This doesn’t help fix all printers because each situation is different and in most cases we don’t have enough information to determine the fix. So hope this will provide some help.

Could have a corrupt driver.
Disconnect the printer or at least be sure it is turned off. I'd do both and when the CD software program asks you to connect the printer to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.
Hope this helps. Bud

Officejet 6310 won't turn on.

Ok try unplugging the printer for about 15 minutes and plug it back in that will reset the printer and it should work fine.
Let me know how it works out

The machine won't start properly

It's thinking that you want to print photo's.
Check the memmory slots on the left to see if there is anything in there if there is pull it out.
Also check to see if a camera is connected to it.
