My phone has been shutting itself off for awhile now...and usually i can take out the battery and turn it back on but today it shut off and it wont turn back on. When I take the battery out and put it back in,it vibrates like it's going to turn on but doesn't.It doesn't even read the charger.
How old is the battery? They can reach a point where they will not take a charge and need replaced.

i had this same problem, nothing worked for me except getting a replacement phone from my wireless provider. make sure to ask if your phone is still under warranty.

if you had given for servicing anywhere in any other shops other than the authorized service centres, they might have changed the batteyr. try top get that problem solved.

As per Sony, if you are getting this message, it's a concern.
This message usually appears, if you are using a Battery other than Sony's.Make sure you are using Original Sony's charger. Try to use some other Charger and Battery.
If problem persists, you need to send the unit for repair. More likely, it's a firmware issue. I have hardly seen any Charge / Battery issue.
