I have a creative zen v 1 gb. I lost the cd for it to be able to put music on it. And I also have a windows vista. Are the two even compatible to put music on? Is there any other program I can use to put music on it?

Get downwards on this page and go to Manual selection.
Next choose your language and the Operating System, in this case: Vista and SUBMIT.
The name of the application software for Vista is called:
ZNV_PCApp32_LA_6_41_10.exe
There is a software called media monkey it can recognise all kind of players with that u can load music or videos etc u can download it from internet from torrent Thank u
Did you try uninstalling WMP11 from your computer , then reinstalloing the Creative software? The two programs are not compatible if WMP11 was there first. Once you hae the computer recognizing the player, you can put WMP11 back without messing it up.

A specific application from the online music service provider
Windows Media Player 11.
Windows XP Service Pack 2 or Vista. To check the Service Pack version,
click on Start, Control Panel and then System.
An MP3 player with MTP/PlaysForSure firmware installed.
Currently, the following players support PlaysForSure either out of
box or with an available firmware upgrade: ZEN Vision W, ZEN V Plus,
ZEN V, ZEN Vision:M, ZEN Vision, ZEN Sleek Photo, ZEN Micro, ZEN MicroPhoto,
ZEN Sleek, ZEN Touch, ZEN Xtra, and ZEN PMC.
The way to fix it is, on your PC, you make folders on the Zen Nano drive. Title those folders as you want. Then you put all of the audio into those folders. And hopefully when you turn on the device, the audio will be in folders. Good luck.

Under the Drivers section, download 2.01.00
Under the applications section, download
9. Creative MediaSource Player/Organizer 3.30.21
Or I could just email you the drivers. I have a Zen Micro myself and have the CD also.
Or, you can just bypass the need for software if you are willing to use Windows Media Player 10 or 11 to transfer songs to your Zen. You can do this by upgrading the firmware to version 2.21.02. Same location as I mentioned above.
