Help!!! ok i just bought a used sidekick3 but now i cant figure out how to chage the email setting. it wont let me take off her/his email account. or the username.

Some unlocking is easy and may be free others for security reasons will need a POP document ie Proof Of Purchase.

For Network Unlocking your carrier may charge a fee (usually a ridicules amount) BUT there are others online who chage a lot less though be wary of whom you choose if you were to do that.

Accounts lockouts due to forgotten password can normally be reset via a recovery method using Help with forgotten password.

Naturally you need access to the email you used when you set it all up.

If you've tied your iPad to the iCloud account and have forgotten about that account password go to iCloud.com and click on "I forgot my Apple-ID or Password". Follow their instructions to re-activate your account. If you can't answer the questions (you defined) or have no access to the email-account assigned anymore it might get difficult.

Setting up email 1.From the home screen, press Menu (Figure 1). 2.In the main menu, press Messages (Figure 2). 3.In the Messages menu, press Email inbox (Figure 3). 4.The first time you access this, email set-up wizard automatically starts up (Figure 4). Press OK. 5.The Samsung Tocco Lite may be pre-loaded with email account details for mobile network operators (Figure 5). If you want to use one of these accounts you already have set up, you can press the appropriate option. However, if you want to set up your own web-based or ISP email account, press Other email accounts. 6.You must give your account a name (Figure 6). Press the panel in the Account name screen. 7.The virtual numberpad appears onscreen (Figure 7). Type in the account name you wish to use. Press Done. 8.The name appears in the Account name panel (Figure 8). Press Next. 9.Press the Enter email address panel (Figure 9). As before, the virtual numberpad appears onscreen. Type in your full email address and press Done. 10.Press the Enter password panel (Figure 10). When the numberpad appears, type in your password. Press Done. 11.When the email address and password panels have been completed, press Next (Figure 11). 12.You must now input email server information (Figure 12). See Details you`ll need to know, above, for instructions on how to find these; they may be listed here . 13.Press the Incoming server panel. Using the numberpad, type in the server details for your email account. Press Done. 14.Drag your finger up the screen to show the Outgoing server (SMTP) panel (Figure 13). Press this. Using the numberpad, type in the server details for your mobile network. Press Done. 15.When the incoming server and outgoing server panels have been completed, press Next (Figure 14). 16.A message appears confirming that your email account has been successfully configured (Figure 15). Press OK.

It would help if you mentioned your provider, ie "live.co.uk" "gmail.com" etc. Enter everything as normal (email & password) & change these options. I know only these 3 so far, Hotmail, "***@live.co.uk" Account type -POP3-, Incoming -pop3.live.com-, Outgoing -smtp.live.com- Yahoo, "***@yahoo.com" Account type -IMAP4-, Incoming -imap.mail.yahoo.com-, Outgoing -smtp.mail.yahoo.com- GMail, "***@gmail.com" Account type -IMAP4-, Incoming _imap.gmail.com-, Outgoing -smtp.gmail.com These should be the only changes you need to make, always check the secure connection. If you still have problems setting up change your username to your full email address, you'll find it between your email and password. Hope this helps as it took me months to figure out the simple switch of "co.uk" to "com" or deleting the "4" from "imap4" in the incoming sever. Hope these tips help!

To access your Inbox, Drafts and Sent Items follow the steps below:

• From the Main Message menu
• Select Emailbox (Figure 6)
  
• Select your default email account i.e. Gmail (Figure 7)
  
• Select OK
• Then choose from – Inbox, Drafts, Outbox, Sent (Figure 8)
  

To receive emails access your Inbox, you will then be asked if you wish to retrieve your mail, press Retrieve to do this and emails will be directed to your handset. This is also where you set up your email but make sure you have an internet package on your phone too. Call Customer care if this doesn't work. Sorry your having so much trouble with this, hope I helped!

Unlocking the sidekick 3 will make it impossible to text and use internet over the at&t service. They are different network types

To send and receive emails via your LG Prada phone you will first need to set up an email account Send and Receive emails on your LG Prada phone by setting up an email account. To set up a new account: From the Start-up screen select the Main Menu icon Select Message (Figure 1) Scroll down and select Settings (Figure 2) Select Email (Figure 3) Select Accounts (Figure 4) Select Menu icon Select New Account (Figure 5) You will now be required to enter some information relevant to your network provider (details of which you can find here) and existing email account: Account Name ? For example ? Hotmail, Gmail etc (Figure 6) Email Address ? e.g. [email protected] Your Name ? e.g. Bob Jones Incoming Mail Server ? Click here to find out this information (Figure 7) User Name ? e.g. bobjones Password ? This is will be the same as your Gmail/Hotmail password Outgoing Mail Server ? Click here to find out this information (Figure 8) You can also set up some Advanced Settings on your email account, to do this press the Menu icon and select Advanced Settings (Figure 9). You can now edit the following settings if you need to do so, however, they will already be set to default settings: Protocol Type (Figure 10) Maximum Receive Size Save To Server Insert Signature (Figure 11) Reply Email Address (Figure 12) Incoming Port Number Outgoing Port Number (Figure 13) Outgoing Mail Authen (Figure 14) Outgoing Server ID Outgoing Server Password Once you have completed the above, press Save the in the Email Account section activate your new email account (Figure 15). You are now ready to send and receive emails. You can also change your Network Profile and set up a Signature via the main Email menu simply select Network Profile then the new profile and activate. To set up a Signature choose Signature, then New and write your Signature and press OK
