Do a soft reset, then hold the R button when it turns on, then let it reset everything on its own and let the R button go after it turns on.

To change your mail name from your Sidekick, perform the following steps:

From your mailbox, press Menu.
2.
Select Settings.
3.
Select Accounts.
4.
Next to the account you wish to change, select Edit.
5.
In the From Name field, type your new mail name.
NOTE: You can also change the From Address, Reply-To Name, and Reply-To Address from this screen.

From the Sidekick desktop interface on your computer, select Settings.

Select General.
NOTE: From the General tab, you can change your name, time zone, or other personalized information.

In the name text box, type your new mail name.
NOTE: Changes made using the desktop interface will be transferred wirelessly to your Sidekick the next time you connect.

thanks, but i did all this and its saying its changed the email account but not the user account how do i change just the user account for the whole phone?
