SOURCE: Sub-Zero 550 with Bottom Freezer

The life expectancy of these is as long as you want to fix em. I stll work on plenty of them builty before 1980. You may have to pay $900 for a bad compressor, but the fridge replacment cost is around $600, so it's up to you. take the back wall off behind the shelves an look at the coils. If the coils are frosty on only part of the coils (less than 2/3 I would say) Then you have a freon leak. likely from the evaporater (this will need to be cut out and soldered in with aq torch) If you have all frost top to bottom, defrost it, turn down the setting, and check that your door seals well and the door doesnt bounce open when you swing it shut. If there is no frost at all, feel the frame around the door opening. If its warm, take of the upper grille and then the upper sheild on the left side (2 screws). Use a flashlight to shine trough the condenser (thing on the right, looks luike a radiator) if you shine a light throuhgh towards the fan, but cannot see the light come through on the fan side, you need to vacuum off the condenser and try again. If light still does not get through, go to your local auto parts store and buy 2 cans of NON FLAMMABLE brake cleaner. Unplug the unit and hose the condenser down with the stuff untuill you can see light through it from the flashlight. this will be messy, so have a spare rol of paper towels handy. The fumes will be bad too so open a window and put a fan in if you can. If the frame of the fridge is not warm, and there is no frst, discannect the cold controll and use a piece of wire to connect the two wires together after you disconnect them from the cold control. Do not connect the green wire, and be carefull as ther will be 110volts in one of those 2 wires if you didnt unplug the fridge. let the thing run with the control bypassed for 15 minute or so and watch the coils to see if they frost. If they frost all the way, top to bottom, replace the cold control (one for the fridge on the right, by the way)Hope you can get the info you need out of this. Good Luck!

SOURCE: warm fridge

Can you check to see if dust has accumulated under the refrigerator and the fan under the refrigerator is blowing warm air?
If the fan is blowing correctly and you find dust blocking the condenser area beneath the fridge try to blow it out or vacuum it away from the fins or metal grid. Just a small amount of dust there or a leaking door gasket will make it hard for the refrigerator to cool properly. Also check that nothing has blocked the entrance or the exit of the condenser warm air area. Hope I have helped you today, Thanks Sea Breeze

SOURCE: DOMETIC RM 1350 FRIDGE GET HOT AND COLD

Ok, I realize I'm a little late on chiming in here, is this unit located in a slideout, and/or the top outside vent is in the wall not a roof located vent?

If so then the issue is that there are fans that are necessary to circulate air thru the hot coils. And there is probably a malfuntioning thermostat to turn these fans on/off. I had this issue with same fridge in a Gulfstream motorhome, and the temporary fix was to pull the faston connectors off the thermostat and tied them together with a 12V fuse, and taped it up with electrical tape to keep it from shorting on fridge chassis and parts. Replace the thermostat at your conveniance, as these fans are now running whenever fridge is on, and will run your batteries down if not plugged into shore power.

SOURCE: Rinnai Infinity 26 hot water system set to 55

If you aren't getting any error codes, then the heater is probably doing its job. Your problem is probably somewhere in your plumbing system. The most common reason you get this sort of problem is due to cold water mixing in the hot water system. There are a number of causes for a "cross connection" :

-Faulty check valve
-Missing check valve on reciculation return line
-Faulty shower cartridge
-Thermostatic mixing valve set too low
-Faulty thermostatic mixing valve
-Faulty anti-scald valve

The easiest way to confirm a cross connection is to: 1) shutoff the cold water entering the tankless heater 2) open hot water valves around the house. If you still have water flowing at your hot water fixtures, then you have a cross connection.

SOURCE: I have a kitchenaid diswasher less than 2 yr old. Model # KUDE60FXBL. I cannot unlock control panel by pushing indicated button as per usual. Is there a reset button?

Kill the power at the breaker box so that it resets the control board.

1.5 yr old Samsung series 6 6030 will not turn on

Sounds like main board fault. But, before make it confirm, try a hard reset to this set, and check. There are two types of reset to TVs. The first is simple to do; a Hard Reset. The other is somewhat skilled; is a Factory Reset (System Reset). To make it a hard reset, just unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 15 minutes or so. If you do this by overnight is better. This procedure will make it a hard reset. If you want to make it a system reset [Factory Reset]; you have to enter its service mode option, and select the factory reset option. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts. Surf the site with patience. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/
Service mode entry, adjust and exit procedure to many popular brand TVs are given. Never forget to exit the service mode, after all adjustments have been done.

My 10 yr old Sony KP-51WS520 rear projection tv come on for about 10 seconds and then shuts off.

Sadly yes. that is repairable but a 55" flatscreen TV is pretty reasonably priced these days. It will use a lot less electricity as well.

I'm trying to find out if a 10 yr. old subzero 590 has a water filter built in somewhere ? if looked its seems like everywhere ? did they put water filters behind freezer panels.

Hi,

This model didn't have a filter, you could have one installed in the water supply line under the unit behind the toe grill though. The next series after this model did have filters but this one didn't have a factory installed water filtration system.

Good Luck
