Same problem, have contacted the support in the UK and they will refund with vouchers from Argos, but live in France so will see what they say as every country is different. However before I do trying to find a solution. So if anybody know please help and post answer.

Although the exact price in India is not known however I saw a gentleman quoting a price of Rs7000 for this model and he says that its "brand new camera" (in his terms). The link is:

As he is selling it for secondhand.. the original price should be somewhere around 8500 to 9000 .. that's my guess.

Your lens is defective needs to be cleaned, repaired or replaced if you are seeing an error message that reads "E:18" or "Lens error, restart camera" or something similar. Turning the camera off and back on again will not fix the problem unfortunately.

There are online places that will do it for a decent price and there are others that overcharge by way too much.

I know this because I own one that charges a reasonable price to do the repair! (Google 'darntoothysam')
