The radio number has nothing to do with the wiring. Here is what the book shows. 2000 Chevrolet S10 Pickup Car Stereo Radio Wiring Diagram

Is this a stock GMC radio you are putting in your Sierra, if so, visit the scosche or PAC website to see if they have one available. If you are installing an aftermarket radio, then you need to purchase a wiring harness. It will have the color coding on the package. If you don't have the vehicle side of the harness, again, visit the scosche or PAC website for availability. Hope this helps.
You will need a harness adapter for your model truck. This you will want to solder and heat shrink over the solder joints (Dont just twist tem together) then just plug it in to the factory harness.
You will probably need an adapter kit also.
The wiring harness adapter should come with the color codes for the wires corresponding to your trucks speaker and power wires pinouts make sure you correctly connect them to the color codes of the stereo for proper speaker placement and voltages
i have attached the wiring info you requested. be sure to test all wires with a meter before connecting. also a link to metra's website if you need an installation kit http://www.metraonline.com/fitl.aspx BatteryRED/BLACK(+)RADIO HARNESSAccesoryBLUE(+)RADIO HARNESSGroundN/ATHIS RADIO GROUNDS THROUGH THE CHASSIS MOUNTING BRACKETS.IlluminationRED/YELLOW(+)RADIO HARNESSDimmerN/APower AntennaGREEN/BLACK(+)RADIO HARNESSLF Speaker (+)BLUE/WHITELF Speaker (-)BLUE/YELLOWRF Speaker (+)BROWNRF Speaker (-)BROWN/WHITELR Speaker (+)REDLR Speaker (-)GREENRR Speaker (+)BLUERR Speaker (-)PINK
the red usually is the power input, black is the ground.
attach a ground wire to a 1.5v battery and tap the + of the battery to any of the stripper, when you hear the tap sound from the speaker, that will tell you what wire to which speaker.
if you have any wire left over, try for power ant.

The simplest way to figure out wire colors on the ford is to purchase the radio wiring harness from a stereo shop like a Metra or Scosche harness and match the aftermarket wiring color code to the opposite side (vehicle side) of the radio plug. If you are just replacing speakers, then removing the speaker from the car with the plug attached, you can easily figure out polarity. Just connect a 9v battery to the speaker leads on the speaker (NOT THE CAR) for a second will make the cone either pop out or **** in. When the cone pops out, note the polarity of the + on the 9v battery. This is the positive for the speakers. Hope this helped.
