The projector has a flickering sound as it is trying to process the HDMI signal. I am using Sony BDP S300 blu ray player. Projector was working fine with a regular DVD player with HDMI output, but recently after trying to use the blu ray, the DVD player signal is not working either. When hooking up the blu ray player, the screen says that it is not getting a signal from HDMI. Thanks.
I've had a problem with the HDMI connector, had it replaced twice while my VPL-HS60 was under warranty. This connector seems very fragile, the first time I was not getting any signal from HDMI, so the repair shop ordered a new connector and replaced it, a couple of days after the it was not working again and found that they had to solder it back on the board. If you're not getting a signal from HDMI anymore that could be your problem.

Hi
I'm Sorry, you cant use an Infrared signal Remote for a blue signal Sony BDP- whatever BluRay Player.
Only a BDP-B101A - B105A gives a blue light signal for S300-S550 to get past the opening menu.
It will not sink
What type of TV? Plasma / LED / LCD.. ?
Typically you should run through your HDMI ... most of the 5 RGB etc.. in the back can only be used on one of the inputs only for high def... HDMI is easier but more expensive cables..
Yes, you can connect the HDMI Cable from the Blu-ray Player to the TV directly and then, connect the Digital Optical cable from the Blu-ray Player to the Receiver.
What brand of tv do you have?? Also what resolution does it display? 1080i, 720p,480i or 420p?some DVD's only use certain ones. U gotta make sure your TV can display the resolution from the DVD.
I once had a similar problem, although with a different TV. It was insufficient to just power down the TV -- I had to unplug the TV so that it would re-initialize. It solved my issue.
I am not sure about the Sony BDP-S300 Blu-Ray Disc Player: But the Samsung BD-P1000 Blu-Ray Disc Player requires HDMI cable
to give the best resolution (1080p) possible that the TV set is able
to support. Hope this helps. [email protected]
