Hi, I haven't used Norton in years. The reason is that Norton is not as good a anti virus program as another I found. If you are up for a change and to a very good anti virus program then check out AVG. It is free and there is also a version you can buy with even more features. I have always used the free version and I have never had a virus on my computer. I am sending you the link so you can check it out. Hope it helps you as much as it did me.

Use "Add/Remove Programs" to uninstall it, and then get FREE anti-virus software: http://www.Microsoft.com/security_essentials
to replace the $$$$ that you are annually paying for your Norton subscription.
Remember to "cancel" your Norton subscription, so that they don't automatically charge your credit-card upon your renewal date.
If you only need the anti-virus component of Norton 360 (it also includes an email filter and some other components) then I would recommend a newly-available free antivirus program, see the instructions for installation here: http://www.fixya.com/support/r5317428-actually_free_antivirus_software_windows
However, if you do need the other components of Norton 360 I would choose another paid software. You can either go online to Norton's website and download the newest version of Norton 360 here: http://antivirus.norton.com/content/en/us/home_homeoffice/html/paid/seo02252010/SEO_Static_Option_3_Col_Radio_02252010.html?om_sem_cid=hho_sem_sy:us:ggl:en:e|kw0000004480|5995564156&om_sem_site={adcopy} When the program tells you that it has expired five days ago there is likely a link in this window for a website at which you can renew your subscription. This is likely a cheaper alternative to buying an entire new version of Norton 360 and will do the same thing, so try following this link and paying to increase your subscription if you want the suite of security software.
Your computer will now be secured from threats again! please rate my solution
Hi, It means that you have to renew your subscription to Norton anti virus. Otherwise, if you don't want to pay, uninstall norton completely and then install AVG anti virus which has a free version.
You will either have to purchase another subscription from Norton or use another anti-virus. I recommend using AVG, it is free for home users and ranks at the top with Symantec and McAfee. www.avg.com
Your Norton that you bought in 2005 has expired.
Normally, the anti virus protection, you buy, will have an expiration of 1 year or 2 years. It will only have more, if you have purchased the license for more. If not, that is why your Norton is out ot date. Expired 2006!!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND NORTON Some useful information below. Hope it helps.
SPEAKING WITH MY EXPERIENCE TRY SOMETHING ELSE.
FREE SPYWARE Download Spybot Search & Destroy. Restart computer, then run Spybot to see what spyware comes up, AND DELET IT.
FYI---Virus Protection-- 2 programs of virus protection will conflict with each other and will actually cancel out the protection. SO just download one.
Running Spybot Search & Destroy with EITHER Avast or Avg (great Free virus protection programs ) will keep a computer in good working condition. FREE
There are alot of $ anti-virus and Internet security programs out there, ie: Norton, McAfee, Panda, Bitdefender. If you would like to pay $ then get ***Kaspersky***-- 2010 , I feel that is the best for your money.
REMEMBER TO KEEP UP THE DAILY MAINTENANCE ON ALL OF YOUR COMPUTERS.!
Good Luck. If you find this information helpful , please rate me. Thanks :0)
If you purchased the NIS 05 and you did not pay a new subscription in 2006, then it is expired.
You would have to purchase a new subscription for 2009 for 2010. Not a renewal. I would find that out, since NIS05 is not working.

hello, the moment you install the Norton on your system, the files will be merged into your registry. so you can not install Norton for free, since you have use it before. so plz try renewing your subscription
Most of the Norton antivirus comes with one year subscription. date u mentioned here seems like more then 1 year old. That's why it says expired
If you dont want to spend any more money on antivirus then uninstall this one and download AVG from this site. this is really good antivirus for free and good for ever.

Chances are, the software that is already in your computer will be able to connect to its website and after entering an authorization code provided to you when you ordered it, the software should update itself. Otherwise, contact Norton's website directly.
