Bob, yes, the demodulator has a circuit board inside....as you know. Ive soldered plenty of f-conn. back, but Ive never seen one that actually took out a corner of the printed circuit board. This board has so many solder points per sq. in. there is no way it could be reattached. Do you know where I can find parts. pls advise

If by circuit board you mean a piece of copper circuit track it is still quite possible to repair quite cheaply.

If you mean a real part of the circuit board from the actual silver box (demodulator) then again these are pretty common and not too expensive to get hold of and repair

If however you mean part of the main circuit board for the TV it may be possible to repair bu you may be looking at more cost than you wish to spend.

If you feel competant in soldering then the first two are pretty simple.

You would either work out what part of the track was broken and run a small lead from where it is on the board to where it was supposed to go.

If its the silver box there are numbers on it from which you can order a new one, remove the old one and simply replace.

How do you hook up cable box using coaxial in hdmi out

If your cable box has an HDMI OUT connector you simply connect the HDMI cable to the TV and the coaxial cable from the cable company to the coaxial input on the cable box. Then select the HDMI input on the TV that matches the number of the HDMI input port you chose on the back of the TV.

TV intermittently loses and regains audio/video from only a couple TV channels

Fault at its main digital board. Short circuited component/s at it. Contact any service technician; or the authorized service center. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ In most cases, the main board might have to be replaced. If so, a software [firmware] update too might be necessary.

The coaxial connector broke off of my Apex LD3288T tv. I removed the back panel and I can not see how to re-connect the coaxial connector. Does anyone know how to repair this?

Its part of the tuner in most cases and not real easy to replace for a novice---sometimes the tuner will have to be replaced as when it broke off it may have damaged the circuit board inside the tuner.

there is a possible way around this: With a box of any kind being used that has the Audio/video jacks for output of signal you run cables from them to a set of matching inputs on the rear of set, leave set on that input and change channels with the box--bypass the tuner completely.

If the tuner and board it is only sold as a complete unit it will be expensive to repair.

My cable connector is broken off the back. its a 1343 model. I would like to use cables to connect it to a DVR.

If you are electrically inclined, you can replace the cable jack on the TV ... but it will require some doing. You will have to open up the TV and find the circuit board with teh coax jack on it. take a soldering iron and remove the coaxial jack from the circuit board. Make sure you don't overheat the circuit board while you are doing this, or you will burn out the whole board. Once the jack has been removed, take it to Radio Shack, or a similar store, and find the exact same part. Then reverse the process -- attach the jack without overheating the circuit board, and put the TV back together. ****If you are not VERY good with electronics, don't try this unless you are not afraid of losing the TV -- it is VERY easy to burn out a circuit board.
If there is a TV repair person in your area, it would be a good bet that they can fix it for you at a reasonable price -- just be sure to tell them that all you need is to have the coaxial jack replaced. This way they can only do what you are asking for, and can't charge you for repairs you did not need.

The cable plug broke off the back of TV. I took off the back of TV and I'm not sure what to do.

If this model has a/v inputs you could use them and if you're on cable (direct cable not cable box) you could use a vcr to change channels - or you could remove the tuner and resolder the "cable plug" (RF connector) if it didn't crack the tuner circuit board when it came off.

Connection for cable box to tv monitor

On the back of the cable box there should be 2 coaxial screw on connectors. One should be labelled "In from Cable" and the other should be "Out to TV". Screw the cable comming from the wall into the "In from Cable" connector and get a short piece of cable to go from the "Out to TV" down the the coaxial connector on the TV. Turn on the cable box. Now tune the TV to either Channel 3 or 4 and you should have a picture.

Cable female adaptor is missing

The small metal box is the tuner. The tuner has to be removed to replace the broken off RF connector. The connector has to be soldered to the tuner housing (metal box) and the leg of the connector has to be soldered to the circuit board, board has to be checked for cracks or if it is broken. If board is damaged the tuner will have to be replaced, if its available.

Coaxial output broken

If the connector end is not damaged and the tuner circuit board is not broken, you can solder this back onto tuner, and solder the end back on the circuit board. You should take the tuner out to do this proceedure. A TV shop usually charges $50.00 to do this.
