JVC AV-27D303. I have lost channels 1 - 6 and some on the higher end. The v-chip and lock codes show the tv is locked. How do I unlock it and how do I restore the lost channels? Please help. We have no manual. Thanks in advance.

you have to unlock your jvc set, and reset the V-Chip settings. There are two ways to unlock JVC TVs, you have to find out which proceedings frome below mentioned will work with your TV.

Select "TV" from the menu then select "V-Chip" from the drop-down list on the screen. "Please Input Password" will appear on the screen.

Enter your four-digit password by selecting numbers on the 10-pad that appears on the V-Chip menu display or your remote control. Create a new password if you forget it by unplugging your TV power cord from the outlet then reconnect the power cord. This procedure resets your password to "0000." Enter four numbers for your new password using the keypad on the screen or your remote and select the arrow to advance to the next number. Press "OK" on your remote or select "OK" on the screen to set your new password.

To unlock the panel lock of your JVC tv do the following.

Turn on the JVC television and press the "Menu" key on the remote control.
Use the Up and Down or Channel buttton to toggle through thre menu selections until V-chip appears.
Stop on V-chip and press the right arrow button to display a padlock icon
Enter the four-digit code by pressing the numbers on the keypad. If a code has not been entered, the default code is 0000 (four zeros).
Press the right-arrow key to unlock the channels
Unplug the JVC television for at least 15 minutes to reset the code to 0000 if a previously set code has been lost or forgotten

How can i unlock my jvc av 32820 it turns on but is locked in one channel and i do not have the remote that came with the set can i use my cox remote to set the menu on tv

HOW DO TAKE THE LOCK CODE OFF I HIT BY MISTAKE ?

go to your menu and turn off the ccd and text modes to remove the box,as for your lock out code try oooo or 9999.

The default lock code is "0000" Then you can go in and turn off the V-chip.
