Ok, here is a list of the factory wires coming from the car that I have for hooking up a radio and there colors. Red wire with blue stripe, red wire with yellow stripe, brown wire with white stripe, brown wire, blue wire, blue wire with yellow stripe, blue wire with white stripe, pink wire, red wire. All of these wires also have gray markings on them approximately an inch apart. I also have a red wire with a black stripe, a blue wire, and a green wire. I am not sure what any of these wires go to or there purpose. If it is possible, I would like to know that info so i can hook up my cd player. My car is a 1992 Nissan Sentra XE thanks.

Hello jlharris28, Here's the color code for the '92 Sentra: Radio Constant 12V+ Wire: Red/Black Radio Switched 12V+ Wire: Blue Radio Ground Wire: Chassis Radio Illumination Wire: Red/Blue Radio Dimmer Wire: Red/Yellow Radio Antenna Trigger Wire: N/A Radio Amp Trigger Wire: N/A Front Speakers Size: 5 1/4′ Front Speakers Location: Doors Left Front Speaker Wire (+): Blue/White Left Front Speaker Wire (-): Blue/Yellow Right Front Speaker Wire (+): Brown Right Front Speaker Wire (-): Brown/White Rear Speakers Size: 6 1/2′ Rear Speakers Location: Rear Deck Left Rear Speaker Wire (+): Red Left Rear Speaker Wire (-): Green Right Rear Speaker Wire (+): Blue Right Rear Speaker Wire (-): Pink It's better to use an aftermarket wiring harness that plug into the vehicle wiring. The Metra part number 70-1763 seems to be the correct one for your vehicle. Hope this helps.

Testimonial: "thank you greatly. that does help alot."

That CD player would appear to have only 2 channels and have a common negative for the speakers. I've never seen such. What is the brand and model number?

Anyway, the power antenna wire would be connected to the Red/Yellow and ground to any metallic surface of the vehicle frame. Usually you can find a screw near the radio. It's best to use a spade terminal. If you can't locate a convenient screw to back off a couple of turns and insert the prongs of the spade terminal, you can drill a small pilot hole and use a self-tapping metal screw.

I'm trying to change my 2003 Ford Thunderbird audio system.
I have bought a FWH600 harness however some of the wires on my aftermarket audio system are not exactly matching with FWH600 wires.
Anyway I can get a list of wires functions for FWH600?

No light on dashboard when i turn the headlights.problem occur after a instalation of a new radio sny

Below is the color code for your factory radio wires.
The problem you have is that the red wire with the black stripe has likely been shorted and the fuse burned. Take the radio out and find that wire. Make sure it is not being used and tape the end with electrical tape. If that wire was used to power the radio, change the radio power to use the yellow wire with the red stripe. Also make sure the red wire isn't getting pinched when you reinstall the radio. Find and replace the burned fuse and you should be OK. Please get back to me if you have more questions.

Note:
using an optional snap on wire harness adapter will simplify the wiring. Most snap on
wire harness adapters have already converted and color coded the wires from the auto
makers in dash wire harness to match typical aftermarket radio wire colors.
** The wire colors listed in the chart above are typical for these vehicles during these years
but may not be the exact colors for this vehicle. This is another reason to use a snap on
wire harness adapter. **

RADIO INSTALLING

there is a code for color!? ok, wait im searching...
found it! here you go, hope it helps...

Wiring color codes are the identification colors that color the wires in your automobile. For example, if you have a British car the blue, blue and white , and blue and red wires are for the headlights. The red and white wires are for the instrument lights, and the green and white and green and red wires are for the turn lights. The color code simply identifies what that wire does. Could you imagine if all of the wires were the same color. You couldn't identify anything in a harness.
