Same here - it helps when I re-install, but I can't keep doing that! I'm running Vista, however, and using Photoshop CS3 with the ordinary Bamboo tablet...

My tablet light turns green whenever I put the pen over it and then loses all sensitivity. This problem isn't just in Photoshop, it's in everything else as well.

    I'm running Vista.

I have a similar issue. I am on Windows XP (32 bit), using Photoshop CS3 and a Wacom Intuos 3. The pen will work fine for a day, maybe 1/2 a day, and then out of nowhere, it will lose pressure sensitivity. When I shut down the computer and close Photoshop at the end of the day it ALWAYS loses pressure sensitivity, and I get an error message saying that the "there is a problem with your tablet driver" and to reboot my computer, and reinstall the drivers. The problem is, when I reboot, there is still no pen pressure, and I have installed the most current driver no less than 5 times, and nothing works. I've figured out I can go delete the preference file for the Wacom tablet and then re-input all my settings in the Wacom Preferences window. Sometimes this fixes it, sometimes I need to open Photoshop, then re-input the Wacom Preferences, and then reboot Photoshop.

SURELY there is a way I can get my tablet working without having to jump on one foot and rub my belly and pat my head and and and...??

I was trying also, didn't work at all, and I'm going to try to close and open Adobe Photoshop CS2. But I need it to work on a few adoptables! I need it NOW!

When I'm using Photoshop CS4 with my Wacom Bamboo Fun tablet, the screen tracking for the tablet only works for half the tablet. This happens with everything else as well, not just Photoshop...

Go to Control Panel, and open bamboo properties. There you select the "pen" tab. In the pen tab you will see tracking. Select pen mode and details. You can map the pad there. After mapping pen mode try it in mouse mode as well. Best of luck!

Why has my bamboo pen and tablet become so sensitive?

I've had the intuos and it worked for years without incident. I have the bamboo and after only a few months it's having issues. WTF is up with that?! I've already changed the nub out once. It worked fine for a while but now... I have to double click to get it to release anything it grabs onto. As a graphic artist where precision is involved... that's very bad.

I think it's time to contact their customer service.

Bamboo Fun won't work w/ provided software

Hello,

I had the same problem when I got my laptop (Vista OS). The solution is to update the new driver for your bamboo. They are out of date so you need to go here: http://www.wacom.com/downloads/driver-detail.php?id=196 Updated @ Apr. 9, 2009

This update should allow Vista to find it.
