Hello i need to change my magenta head for epson stylus color 3000 ink jet

My 1400 did just about the same thing, it said the cartridge was low and needed replacing and I replace it four times then it said the another color was empty, I changed it and then I replace all six and it said all six were empty, I called Epson and they wanted me to send it in, it would have cost me a bundle so I bought a new one instead. Depending on how old yours is if may be time to replace it. Hope this helped, Paul.

Assuming that you have ink for any color, the problem can either be clogged print-head or an electronic (board) failure no longer controlling a color/colors.

You've either got clogged jets, or those two ink-wells are empty.

If running a "cleaning" does not improve anything,
then try replacing the ink-cartridge.

try cleaning your print heads

the mixture of red is a combination of magenta and yellow ink or toner, if either one of these color is out of quantity or not working, chances are you will not get the right color. hope this helps.

If you have lots of flashing error lights or electrical problems then it is likely to be electrical.

However, if like most... and your printer has just been left unused for some time? You probably have an ink clog on the magenta *red.

But provided it worked OK before a period of non-use? Then you just need to use a PRINT HEAD CLEANING KIT to unclog the tiny jets.

Dear, the other colors inks are finished, thats why the printer is printing only in one color. Your problem will be resolved in any case, you need to refill it or need to change the cateridge.

Actually magenta is the weakest compared to cyan and
yellow using even K3 inks. Now epson is releasing
K3 with vivid magenta ink. Using any color management
I have found it very difficult to reach a real red without
a lot of tweaking in my color profiles. Now it appears
that Epson sees the problem and is changing magenta
out for vivid magenta ink to solve the weak magenta.

you may need to run a clean on ur nozzles and check if you are low on ink.

One of the possible reason why you can't print black in white because Epson ink jet printers require all of the ink cartridges to have ink in them in order to print any color, black and white, or grayscale images. More than that Epson printers contain a permanent print head that needs to be charged with all colors to work. Even when users are printing black text only, a small amount of color ink is used to keep the print head charged for color printing and prevent air bubbles from entering the color print nozzles which can damage the print head.
