I have recently done some repairs to my internal plumbing. Everything is up and running correctly with exception to my dishwasher. I think it may be the heating element since I'm not getting any hot water during the wash cycles. I have hot water at my kitchen sink and I run this just prior to engaging the dishwasher....but nothing. The only reason I think it may not be my heating element is because even after I've let it cylce through the wash and dry process, I'm getting hot air for the drying but NO hot water. Doesn' the heating element produce the hot air and hot water? Why am I getting the hot air but no hot water. Just making sure I'm fixing the right thing before getting too far into this.
Thanks in advance for everyone's help!
Yes, usually the heating element provides heating for the water and the air. However, the timer goes through all the stages telling the dishwasher what to do, and since its heating the air but not the water, I would look more into the electrical. It will be in the timer or the relays from that switch. Most dishwashers have what looks like a small computer if you will, thats behind the door. It acts as a control center. You can find it by taking the screws out thats on the outer edges of the door when you open it. First, make sure you disconnect the power supply. Hope this helps.
Check to make sure your supply lines aren't crossed and that your hot water supply is connected to the dishwasher
