Jura capressa F7 steam milk problem

I've had machine for several years.  The foam maker never made great foam, but the coffee was  great anyway.  Now I have  a problem making any foam.  It looks like foam but sometimes it solidifies and if it doesnt solidify it just floats on top with no mix of milk  in the coffee. In the past the steamed milk mixed with the coffee and the  foam floated on top.  Now its black coffee  underneath the  foam or solid foam,Ive changed to different  brands of milk ,and   have used  1% and 2%  , still having problem.  Ive never  decalcified, not sure  what that has to do with anything. Ive cleaned out the wand.

You should decalcify, when you steam the milk some what gets through to the steam and the build up of these minerals causes the issue

Steam comes out from the tray grill

Sound's like you have a crack somewhere in the tray,
You could try locating it and sealing it.

Display tap on Jura Impressa E75 say close tap, where is tap please

The tap is the dial on the left turn it, then it will turn the tap off. If it is repeating this then it may need to be decalcified.

My jura impressa z5 is having trouble foaming the milk...worked fine last season but we can't seem to get it foaming the same as it was before...suggestions??

The common cause is that the frothing connection is faulty. You can look at the Guide to clean the Jura frothing connection, or try this. Take some bicarb or vinegar, dissolve in 400ml luke warm water, select cappuccino maintenance under the options, or press the milk button. Run the complete mixture through then. Run about 600ml of plain water through the spout. Turn the sport from froth to milk and back every 10 seconds.
If this does not work, then there may be a need to decal the machine.

Lousy foam!

Perform a full descale cycle to clear the steam boiler of any debris or build up. Most likely due to blockage.

Steam and froth malfunction

The milk can not be room temperature.  It needs to be cool, does not have to be fridge temperature but can not be warmer than room temperature

Frothe the milk?

he trick to this is making sure you have steam comming out of the wand and not water. To do this, make sure you get the steam started before you begin. To get a light foam that will not deflate, hold the wand just under the surface of the milk. You should hear a steady, high pitched noise and you should not hear the splatter of bubbles popping on the surface. Popping noises mean that the wand is too high in the milk and your froth will not hold up. A low pitched noise from the cup means that the wand is too far down in the milk. This will heat your milk (for hot chocolate), but will not give you a good foam. Good luck!

Steamed milk

I just had this same problem and solved it.  It was due to a very small amount of milk residue on the inside of the black frothing unit (the one with the dial which lets you choose foam or no foam).  Grip the dial firmly and pull it out while twisting. It may take a few seconds to twist and pull it out.  I had a very small spec of milk residue in one of the crevices on this piece.  Quick clean with a toothpick and plenty of hot water, reassembled, and it works perfectly.  Hope this helps someone.
