You will have to call Jensen. They normally don't come with amps anymore as most users prefer the RCA input for better clarity and sound quality. You will have to call Jensen. They normally don't come with amps anymore as most users prefer the RCA input for better clarity and sound quality.

JENSEN Heavy Duty develops stereos, speakers, amplifiers, and sound systems ... Component video input x 1 (YPbPr); Stereo audio input x 1; HDMI input x 2 ...
REMOVE THE RCA INPUTS AND DISCONNECT THE SPEAKERS AND POWER THE AMPLIFIER UP WITH THIS NO INPUT, NO SPEAKER LOAD CONDITION. IF IT STILL GOES INTO PROTECTION AND YOU HAVE VERIFIED THAT THE POSITIVE AND ESPECIALLY THE GROUND CONNECTIONS, ALONG WITH THE REMOTE CONNECTIONS ARE 100%, THEN THE AMPLIFIER WILL NEED TO BE SERVICED. LET ME KNOW IF YOU NEED FURTHER ASSISTANCE.....V
According to crutchfield, this connector should have come with the amp. Was this an open box? I would suggest getting a replacement molex connector from jensen. I see what you are talking about in the manual, and if you don't have the supplied connector, you have a big chance of frying your amp. The manual expects you to have this connector, and is not specific about the actual pins. For all you know, you could be wiring it the opposite way. Either that of call jensen, and ask how the pins are layed out. If you are confident you do have it wired properly, you could try both pins, and see which is the ground, but this is risky of course. There is also the chance there is no actual metal connector in one hole. You can also test for impedance if you have a multimeter, and you definitely should if you are taking shot in the dark with your amp.
Amps can be rated based on their RMS power or their peak power. In this case, the amp's rated RMS power is 300x2 at 2 ohms (total 600W RMS) with a peak power rating of 600x2 (1200W peak). For the most part, peak power means almost nothing.
If your head unit didn't have RCA preamp outputs, you would used the standard speaker outputs from the head unit and connect them to the hi input plug of the amp.
Hi,
Jensen is under different ownership from when your amp was made, so it's unlikely that you'll find a replacement plug for the high-level input.
A high-low converter is also called a line-out converter. It's a device that connects to the speaker wires and changes the signal to a low-level RCA connection. This allows you to use the amp's RCA plugs with your speaker wiring (through RCA signal cables).
A line-out converter should be available any place that sells car audio accessories.
No. The amplifier gets its signal from the RCAs connected to the "input" jacks, but the "output" jacks are just there to make it easier to add another amplifier. You only need to connect the inputs for the amp to work.
There should be a small switch someware on the amp marked VOX or normal. I bet its on vox. if there is no switch then theres a jumper inside the unit to put it into a vox state. Vox Is when audio is at the input the amp goes on and when theres no voltage at the input the amp switches off.
