HAVE A BOSCH DISHWASHER SHX43M05UC. BEEN NOTICING THAT THE DRAINING HAS BEEN VERY SPORATIC AND INTERMITTENT AND NON-COMPLETE, RATHER THAN CONTINUAL UNTIL DRAINED. AT THE END OF THE CYCLE THERE REMAINS WATER IN THE BOTTOM OF THE DISHWASHER. IF I OPEN THEN CLOSE THE UNIT DOOR, IT WILL DRAIN FOR A SECOND OR TWO THEN STOP. IF I REPEAT THAT PROCESS, IT REPEATS THE QUICK DRAIN ONLY.
The drain on that model activates about 4 times for a couple seconds before it go into the continual drain. it does that so debris can fall downwards easier during the drain. its also supposed to have about 2-3 inches of water left below the iron mesh filter when its complete, if its above the filter than you have a drain problem. if you do have a drain problem then yes check your airgap first if you have one to make sure that isnt clogged. if your issue still exists then send a message, im sure we can figure it out
Check to see if you have a plugged, kinked, drain hose or screen. Do you know how to disassemble the bottom of the diswasher to get access to the drain hose? Also, is the dishwasher drain and hose properly vented?
First...make sure you visit the Bosch dishwasher recall website as this model is under the recall with a faulty controller which may cause a fire! Check your model under http://microsites.boschappliances.com/safetyrecall/dishwasher/
then call 800.856.9226 to setup a recall repair appointment. We just found out about this recall and was never notified by Bosch even though we registered our unit after we purchased it...talk about poor customer service! Hope this helps!
