Receiving the sound but no picture on digital TV channels

Check your tuner choice in the setup mode. t should be set to cable analog + digital

To tune your Panasonic Plasma to on air TV channels do the following:

Connect the antenna connection to its antenna in at the back panel.

Automatically searches and adds available channels to the memory.

Select "ANT in"

Select Cable or Antenna Select "Auto"
Select a scanning mode

Auto channel setup
Select "Auto program"
Select "ANT in"
Select "Auto"
Select scanning mode (ALL channels/Analog only/Digital only

Start scanning the channels

Available channels (analog/digital) are automatically set.

All channels: Scans digital and analog channels

Analog only: Scans Analog channels only
Digital only: Scans Digital channels only
Confirm registered channels

If OK is not pressed after selecting "Apply", the channels will not be saved.

The channel will be saved when no operation is performed for 60 seconds and

the "Manual program" menu will also exit automatically.
If you perform scanning more than twice, previously saved channels are erased.

Analog (NTSC): Conventional broadcasting

Digital (ATSC): New programming that allows you to view more channels
featuring high-quality video and sound
[Use "UP ' DOWN ' RIGHT ' LEFT] AND 'OK"] keys to selcet and proceed.

The Insignia NS-PDP42 Plasma HDTV has a built in ATSC/NTSC/QAM tuner.

In short, yes, it does have a digital converter built in, but you will need a antenna capable of receiving digital broadcasts. You can find these at Walmart for $15 to $60.

unfortunately these newer tvs do not display the standard definition analog channels very well. the picture gets better when viewing digital channels but doesnt display at its best untill u place it on a high definition channel

my samsung plasma 50" tv has no picyure just sound, it is only 2 years old

you can not enter plug & play in digital mode go to analog by pressing TV/DTV then menu plug & play will now be able to entered

Check all your connections in the back, if they're all good replace the main board in the tv.

i have a plasma tv (china brand) when i start the TV the remote control for other devices are not working, only working if the remote is too close to the sevices or by reducing the brightness to its minimum level (zero level..no brightnesss)
