I have a new problem with my wii remote it stopped sending signals, the light works by the remote seem to have no effect. how do I fix this problem.

Hold the Wii Remote upside-down with the buttons facing downward.

Tap the remote firmly against the palm of your hand three times to remove any dust sitting between the buttons and the electronic circuit board inside the remote.

Turn the remote upright and press one of the buttons. If the problem continues, Open your Wii Remote's battery door

Check that your Wii Remote contains two new "AA" batteries or a charged battery pack. Check that no corrosion is present on the battery's metal elements/connectors.

Use a cotton swab to clean the remote's battery element/connectors if corrosion is present.

Check that the Sensor Bar cable is inserted firmly into the back of your Wii gaming system. The Sensor Bar needs to be centered above or below your television so the Wii Remote can transmit signals to the gaming system.

Stand three feet away from the Wii gaming system/Sensor Bar.

Aim the remote and press any button to test the device.

If the remote is not working, stand five to 10 feet away from the gaming system and try the device. The Wii Remote works best three to 10 feet away from the gaming system/Sensor Bar.

Move any objects blocking the signal from the remote to the gaming system/Sensor bar--candles, other remote controls (TV/cable box) and wireless computer devices/cellular phones.

Also, if any sunlight is coming in through a window, close the curtains or blinds to keep the light from interfering with the remote's signal.

Turn off and unplug your Wii gaming system. Leave the unit unplugged for one minute. Plug the gaming system back in.

If the remote still aint working;

Turn the Wii system on. Press and hold the red "SYNC" button for 15 seconds when the "Health and Safety" screen appears on your television. The "SYNC" button is behind the small door on the front of your Wii unit.

Release the "SYNC" button. Remove the battery cover and batteries/battery pack from the back of your Wii Remote.


Press and release the red button located under the battery compartment. The blue lights on the front of the remote will blink

Here are few Home remedies that should help you fix the issue.If you still face any problems then it is an internal issue with your remote and you will have to contact the nintendo support.

1. Clean the Wii remote pointer lens. Use a soft cloth to remove any sticky substances. Wii remote jackets, stickers or other objects should not block the remote pointer lens, as it will cause characters to move erratically, disappear or remain off-center.
   
2. 
   Operate the Wii remote between three to eight feet away from the sensor. Otherwise, it will not perform properly.
   
3. 
   Note that infra-red lights from candles, toys, appliances, fireplaces and even sunlight may effect how the Wii remote performs. Try to remove or reduce infra-red interference from these sources when possible.
   
4. 
   Turn off or move wireless devices located near the Wii console. You may be experiencing radio frequency interference from other wireless devices.
   
5. Check to see if anything is blocking the sensor. Clear objects away from the sensor and console to enable the remote to send a clear signal to the Wii system.
6. Center the sensor bar directly below or above your television. Having the sensor off-center may cause the Wii remote to perform poorly.

Re-sync the Wii remote to the Wii system:

1. Completely turn off the Wii system. Remove the batteries from the remote. Turn the power off on the Wii console. Unplug the unit from the wall. Wait five seconds and then replug the unit into the wall.

   Push the power button to turn on the Wii console. After the health and safety screen appears, open the small door on the front of the Wii console. Locate the red SYNC button. Push down on the SYNC button for fifteen seconds. This resets all previous SYNCS on the Wii system.
   
3. 
   Re-sync the Wii remote. Locate the red button on the remote control under the battery cover. Push and release this red button. The Wii remote should respond with blinking blue lights.
   
4. 
   Push and release the red SYNC button on the Wii console. Place the batteries back in the remote. When the remote is successfully re-synced, the LED light will remain lit.
   
5. 
   Repeat the re-syncing process with all other Wii remotes on this system.

When you first press a button on the Wiimote, how many lights blink? If the answer is 1, then your batteries may be too low. 4 blinking lights mean that you have fully charged batteries.

Other than that, you may want to consult the user manual with regards to re-syncronizing your Wiimote to the console. If you don't have the manual any more, and you have at least two blinky lights, then press the red syncronizing button on the console first, then the corresponding button inside the battery cover on your Wiimote. Reboot the Wii and see if it works.

3. The tv signal settings have been changed

First check that all wires and connectors on the wii and tv are properly and snugly connected

I think that your remots sencer is broken that is what happend to mine when i played 2 player too long gust try to buy new remotes or it is your sencer bar so try one of them

Has the sensor bar perhaps been moved? Is it becoming obstructed by furniture or something else?

This happened to my son. I did some reading and found out you have to resynchronize the remote. This is from the manual
1) Press the Power button on the Wii console to turn it on.
2)Remove th battery cover on the back of the remote and press the SYNC. button inside the cover. The Player LEDs will blink.
3)Open the SD Card Slot cover on the front of the Wii console and press the SYNC button on the inside of the compartment
4)When the Player LED blinking stops,connection is complete. The LED that is illuminated indicates the player number.
This procedure must be followed for each additional Wii remote added to your system.
