Kleenmaid Stainless Steel oven door will not close properly.

Wife opened door quickly at end of baking session and door fell open quickly to the completely horizontal position. The right hand hinge appears to be damaged; the roller has become disengaged and the spring has disappeared back up inside the door.
Now when the door is closed it appears to not close sufficiently at the top against the seal, it sticks out about a quarter inch (or 6mm here in Australia) I suspect the the right hand hinge has been partially dis-engaged but I cannot dis-engage the entire door to then try for a refit.
Any ideas would be very welcome.
The oven is a Kleenmaid Freestanding FEC500x/w and is truly a beautiful little unit.
Many thanks in advance of reply.
Kind regards
Michael

The door hinge is probaly broken or could just be the spring. Open the door to the 45 degree position (halfway) and pull on the door. It should come off the hinge assembly. Slide out the oven a little to access the screws for the hinge to see what is broken or wore out.

Eletrolux wall oven modelE30ew7cgps2 change door hinges

The hinges mount inside the oven door, open the door all the way, then move the small clips that are riveted to the hinge to the position opposite of where they sit now... this will hold the hinge springs open. Lift up the door as if to close it, then the hinges will lift out of their slots and you can remove the door... Electrolux Range Stove Oven Door Hinge 318244305

Oven light on display says door and now wont heat

The oven will not turn on the heat because it thinks the door is still open. It thinks the door is open because it has a sensor that gets pressed by the door when it closes (look around edges of oven that get covered when door closes) this sensor is wet, dirty or broken so when you close the door the sensor still says its open. Did you clean around the door with a wet cleaning fluid?

Kenmore oven take a long time to heat up, but bakes just fine once it reaches temperature. Is there anything I can do to speed up the heating process?

Start earlier?
>> check all elements for current,
check seals
check temperature calibration (allowed to be 15% ie 180 can be 153 or 207 Celsius!) no wonder Margs' scones cook faster at her house :-)

Oven door will not open

This unit may have a door lock built in to the control unit lockout. To release it you may have to turn off the oven circuit breaker in your house circuit box. If not, it is just jammed and you will need to wobble it free.

Jenn-Air electric wall oven door opens slightly when in bake mode

you either have a bent door hinge or a broken door spring.
check the hinges by opening the door and see if it opens past 90 degrees. if it leans towards the floor then the hinges are bent.
if not then your door springs are broken off. you can check this by seeing if the door "feels" heavy when opening.
either way the door should close tight against the frame when up and the light should not come on without opening the door.

Faulty oven door

This IS SO EASY !! I have the DACOR 48...no tools, 5 minutes and you are done! It took me 8 years of frustration and I fixed it TODAY !!

Just open the door, latch the small hook that binds the two hinges together. Next try to slowly close the door until resistance. Just when you think you might break something push up another 2 inches. Now lower the door , unhook the latch to seperate the hinges (latches) nad PRESTO a snug fit !!
