Be sure there is no damage to the shuttle/hook that series used a fibre (composite inner core) that often became damaged . If there are nicks on the black part polish them off and try reassembling again Also check to be sure the tension on the bobbin case is not to tight

SOURCE: Bobbin thread not being picked up

This unfortunately sounds dismally like a timing problem. When a sewing machine makes a sudden mechanical stop as when a needle is bent slightly and hits the needle plate, sometimes the other machine bits revolve along further causing the needle to be introduced into the hook either to early or to late to catch the thread.

To test this, remove the thread, the needle plate and and the bobbin case. Replace the needle with a brand new one. Yes, again. Revolve the machine by hand via the balance wheel and watch closely as the needle goes into the hook region allow it to it move down and then just start to move up. If the tip of the hook is not pretty close to right behind the needle than it is more than likely a timing problem.

If the tip of the hook is behind the needle in the scarf (the slight hollow on the back of the needle) than it is not timing. Thread the machine normally like it is and watch what happens as you manually turn the machine via the balance wheel. The thread should catch and be pulled around the hook and let go.

Try this and then either you figured it out the problem or contact me again. Either way please vote. Thanks

First the simple solution. Make sure your needle is inserted flat side to the back and all the way up.
The only other thing I can think of is that your hook is out of time and this will take a technician to re-time it. You may need to take it in for a servicing.

How to adjust bobbin tension bernina 150

On the side of the bobbin case is a half moon shaped curved spring with a screw through it securing it to the bobbin case
take the small yellow or red screwdriver that came with your machine and turn the screw clock wise to tighten and counter clockwise to loosen. Correct tension is achieved by inserting a full bobbin of thread, into bobbin case, remove the half moon shaped shuttle from machine, put the bobbin case on to the shuttle, now hold just thread and with a youo motion shake the above and the shuttle and bobbin case should slide down the thread about 12 to 24 inches for correct tension

Bobbin thread tangling into knots on my Bernina QE 153

Its possible, refer to your machine manual to adjust the tension. You might need to change your needle to fit the thread you are using.

Thread jams starting with 1st stitch on Bernina 160

since a needle broke, & a new needle was put in, was the needle inserted correctly, normally flat side to the back of the machine, & pushed all the way into the needle holder
rethread the machine top & bobbin
make sure the bobbin is inserted correctly into the bobbin case.
if none of these suggestions help, then it's possible that when the needle broke it could have caused the machine to jump time & would have to be checked at a sewing machine shop

White thread stitches appear dirty grey

Is this the top thread or your bobbin thread? The technician should have pulled out the tension disk assembly and cleaned it, not just spray more lubricant/cleaner on it. Is this a Bernina certified shop?! Take it back and get him to do it again right, it sounds like carbon/dirt build up in the disks. Have him pull the assembly apart and make sure it's not something else wrong with the disks themselves like oxidization etc.

If it's your bobbin thread.. your bobbin case is just dirty and the spring needs to be cleaned.

The thread doesn't really touch any other parts of the machine, hopefully your technician isn't using grease as this just causes more headaches for attracting more lint and then dirt.

The needle thread on my bernina minimatic keeps breaking.

There is special thread for denim/jeans. It usually comes in shades of brown. It's a little heavier and might help with the breakage. You might also want to try a little less tension. I assume you already have a Schmetz denim needle?

The needle thread will not pick up the bobbin thread

It looks right but its not. Try looking on the internet for threading instructions. The bobbin winds in two directions, I have never saw a Bernina but I have 2 new machines and the thread goes in and then threads back to the left. Its hard to describe. But if the bobbin isn't right it will not pick up the thread. Write to Bernina for instructions. There are websites that have the directions for free.
