Belkin Wireless G Plus MIMO router - connectivity problem

My wireless router doesn't seem to pick up the ADSL connection. The power light and wireless light come on, but not the connectivity light. The line has been tested by BT who say it is fine.

My wired router (Voyager) works, although it did take 10 mins to become connected

How can i reset my Belkin Wireless G Plus MIMO Router it cannot connect for an internet connection

  • Locate the small master-reset pinhole on the back of the router. The pinhole is located directly to the right of the Ethernet port labeled "connection to modem."

  • 3

Soft-reset the router by placing a sharp object, like a push pin, into the router hole. Push inward and immediately release the button. The lights on the router will flash and then the "Power/Ready" light will start to blink. When the light turns solid, the router is reset and ready to use. This reset does not restore the router to factory settings. It refreshes the software and is similar to rebooting a computer. If you want to restore the router to the factory settings, skip this step and move to step four.

Master-reset the router by placing a sharp object, like a pushpin into the router hole. Keep the pin pushed into the hole for 10 seconds. The lights on the router will flash and then the power/ready light will start to blink. When the light turns solid, the router is reset and ready to use.

I have an HP Pavilion DV9000 laptop with Windows Vista and it has problems communicating with my Belkin Wireless G Plus MIMO Router. And if it does manage to connect it doesn't usually stay connected for...

Try changing the channel that the wireless on the router is broadcast on... if you can see other wireless networks in your area, try changing yours to at least 5 channels different (ie, if you can see a wireless network on channel 1, change yours to 6). Overlapping wireless channels can stop good connections.

Cant seem to get wireless connection all lights on except wireless one

IF the wireless light is OFF on your router, you wont really have any wireless connection and its also a sign that there's some problem with the router, first thing to do here is to reset the router by pressing the reset button for 30 seconds while the power is ON, then after that power off the router for 5 seconds and power it back, and hopefully the wireelss light will be on, if its still not ON better call Belkin and let one of their tech walk you through in checking the router....

    Hope that helps..........

I am a very untechnical person and I bought a wireless G Router thinking I could connect it very simply and make my wired broadband wireless. Unfortunately the modem I have, which was sent to me by Virgin...

I'm thinking you have the ADSL modem supplied by Virgin with only the telephone line port and an USB port on the back that goes to the computer.

In the case above. You need to buy a wireless router with a USB port connection. Or something like a Linksys WAG54G which is an ADSL and wireless router all-in-one.
