The red wire coming from the warning light on my filter queen vac is unplugged. Do not know where to plug back in. Need a picture of the wiring diagram for a Model 112A filter queen vacuum.

Maybe it over heated or the hose was jammed. Unplug it for a few minutes, check the hose for any stuck debris, then plug it back in. Shop vacs also come with a filter. If the filter is too dirty, it might have shut off as a safety precaution to not cause a fire. Follow directions to clean the filter. Hope this helped. Dee
I have a 6000 and it does the same thing. I simply unplug the unit and plug it back in after cleaning the filter and dumping the cannister. That seems to reset the warning system.
Your problem could be many things, causing it to over heat, you need service by and Certified Tech. You can call the home office at 800-344-1840 to find an Authorized Service Center near you. Do not take it to a vac shop or you could end up with more problems than before.

you have got to be kidding me. you want me to pay for your advice after I paid over $2,000 for this vaccum. Not only that, the sales rep that sold the filter queen to me, stole my Oreck vac right out my livingroom. I did not realize until after he left that it was gone. He did mention at the beginnng of the demo that if I bought the filter queen he would take my other one. I had no intention of giving him my Oreck even though I did buy the filter queen. You sales reps go way to far.

Can there be a loose screw inside ? Can I open the motor and look inside ? Hello, I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. The sounds coming from the motor sounds like it is the 2 sheet metal fans that do loosen up and start to make noise; and if you are handy and can do service work yourself you can replace the fans, but make sure you mark the wires when you remove the wire and the motor. If you have questions feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or cal the Filter Queen cust serv line listed below. http://geeksquad.fixya.com/ThreadView.aspx?prdid=20820&thid=676660 How to empty? Posted by jchale55 on Jun 16, 2008 I inherited this Filter Queen "Cheetah" (but it isn't black ... chrome) and don't know how to empty the thing. Hello, I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. The Filter Queen uses a cone filter and there are 2 or 3 clamps to release to remove the cone and then you dump the dirt sitting in the bottom of the canister and then replace the new cone filter and repeat the process. If you have further question feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer.
