I have lost my manual and wish to do a rolled hem on my Janome Mylock 234D overlocker (it's old). Can you advise settings please? I have the plate for the rolled hem, I have taken out one of the needles and have it set on "R" on the side button - not sure of differential feed setting (1.0)? Should I have a special foot for this machine?

I think Janome Mylock 134 has 2 separate needles. They are #11 or #14 for sergers and secured by 2 independent setscrews. I saw on ebay the instruction book with the owner's handbook for Janome Mylock 134D.

This is a tricky problem, without being in front of the machine.
1. check that thread comes thru machine with ease (pressure foot up)
2. rethread machine starting with lower looper (right hand thread)
3. make sure that when pressure foot is down there is some tension on the thread, (sometimes stuff gets stuck in the tension discs)

4. if that fails, suggest having a repair service check it out for you.
