I got a user manual for an i pad from the net so go google and type in --user manual for ( make and model ) phone
if it is available it will be a pdf version and downloadable .

Go to www.vtechkids.com. Under customer support, you will see a link there where you can download pdf versions of Manuals for different vtech toys. If you can't find it there, then you need to call VTECH. Contact info can also be found on their website.

What you require a book which can teach you how to use a laptop computer. Best book is in the Dummy series. If you can get that book you will learn the basics of laptop. Now days there are many other help books are available. Basically there is no difference in the use of desktop and laptop. All the functions are same except instead of mouse you have touch pad. This is basically a learning aid device and not a real computer. Though it is in the shape of a laptop PC it have very limited function (Specifically the 74 games and activities as advertized on the box it should have come in.

No it does not have a modem, nor a cd/dvd drive or any user upgradeable parts. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. If the salesperson mislead you into believing this was an actual PC instead of a learning device like the Leapfrog and Vtech line. Then you may want to return it for a refund/ store credit. But if your happy with what your kid(s) are learning while playing the games. then thats money well spent.
