My LG decided not to come on the day i went on holiday, i mean no power no lights nothing, come back try again, nothing so i go and buy a new 38'' LG tv, tried the old one once again, comes on fine put it in my bedroom works all day come in at night wont turn on no power nothing, just read something about HDMI cables causing problems so ive just took mine out doubt much will change thou. whats up with it ?

    i dont notice any looseness no, but i agree the plug/wire seems to be causing the problem, where can i get another? still how does it explain how it turns on every few days

    tried the power lead off PC still same thing flashy light then no power.

    il have to send it to someone its ou of gurantee just aswell bummer

It is not you tv its the plug on theb wall. It is probably loose, and causing the intermittent problem you are having. You may notice looseness as you plug it into the wall. Your TV is fine.

    A poor connection will always give you intermittent problem. It don't matter about how often it work. If it is the power cable you can get a new one from any electronic parts store. It is best to get an original replacement, but you can also replace it with a similar kind, and make sure that you replace it with either same size or bigger.

Back light either set too low or gone duff. Try increasing back light intensity/brightness/ contrast in that order.
Otherwise it's a skilled repair job or buy a new TV.

It could be the conection ribbon between the T com and main board remove carefully clean and replace ,it should do the trick if still the same then most likely T -com

Red Light

slow blinking light means the unit is in DRY MODE.. flast blinking light means some sort of arcing or bad power supply..
if in dry mode let the unit run for an hour and it will stop blinking ..

LG L1715S TFT power issue

Change out C202- 680 uF 25 Volt electrolytic capacitor. Replace with 25 volt or higher. Observe proper polarity when replacing cap: (-) goes to the side with the black mark, check old cap before removing it to see. I just fixed the same monitor today.
