Whether the ac switch on, lighted, or is off, no light, it blows cold air. With air turned on, the rpm's increase and when off the rpm's go down to normal. What should I look for ? Doug in Mesa AZ.
Well Doug in Mesa AZ, sounds like you've got a AC control module malfunction. Tell you what, if you want to troubleshoot it yourself, Go to www.hmaservice.com and register( Vehicle by VIN). Afterward, you have access to shop manuals, service bulletins, wiring diagrams, etc. about your vehicle.
If you don't want to fix it yourself, Take your vehicle to an authorized Hyundai dealership and pay the diagnostic fee... they will tell you exactly what the problem is and the cost of parts/labor to fix it... at least this way you'll know what the problem is and what's required to fix it.
