I have a GSL25JF frig, not many complaints from me about except the ice maker. Water lines are clear, I can get water at the door, but ice does not get made inside the freezer. Inside switch seems to work ok, the light comes on....
Pour about 1/2 cup of water into the icemaker . If it dumps , replace the water valve . If not , replace the icemaker . Make sure the coils are clean of dust , etc... at bottom of fridge .

If you have already replaced the water inlet valve and checked the water pressure, there could be a blockage in the water line between the inlet valve and the dispenser. You can try to disconnect the water line from the inlet valve and the dispenser and flush it out with water to clear any blockages.
If this does not resolve the issue, the problem could be with the water dispenser actuator, which controls the flow of water from the dispenser. The actuator may be faulty or may need to be replaced.
Regarding the clip for the inlet valve and water reservoir, you can try contacting LG customer support or a licensed repair technician to see if they have the replacement part available. They may also be able to provide additional troubleshooting steps or guidance to resolve the water dispenser issue.
most of the time when that happens first thing you do is make sure water is getting to the solenoid for the ice maker if you have a water despencer you have water the solenoid for the ice maker is normally found in the back of frig near bottom pull frig out till you can get behind it look where water line goes into the frig solenoids for water and ice maker should be there. leave frig plugged up have someone use the water despencer feel whitch one that is replace the other one
Grab a blow dryer and aim it at the water tube that supplies water to your ice maker. More then likely it is frozen with ice and will need further melting to clear it out so that your ice maker will work again
Some of these ge frig have a problem with water freezing inside the door and so the water dispenser wont work. only way to be sure it to turn off your frig for about a week and leave the doors open. plug in then try the water dispenser. if this is the problem call g.e. you will need a special kit to solve this problem. it dispenser still doesn't work replace water valve!!!
Sometimes on a ice maker what will happen is the water line that fills the ice maker will freeze. You can use a large syringe filled with hot water and from the rear of the frig remove the water line where the hose goes into the rear of the frig and force some hot water into the tube to see if it is clear.
If the line is clear fill the ice maker manually and see if it goes through a cycle.
If it goes through a cycle you have to check to see if the ice maker is calling for water by putting a multi meter across the contacts of the water inlet valve located behind the panel on the back of the frig. Advance the ice maker to run through a cycle and see if it is calling for water. If you have current going to the valve and no water momming in, replace the valve.
If you do not have current going to the valve after the ice maker has gone through a cycle. Replace the ice maker.
make sure that the water supply line is tight. the line that comes from the wall should be copper or stainless steel braided line. if it is the clear plastic line get rid of it as it is more prone to kink and leak especially at the points where the connections are made... another thing to check is where the supply line connects to the frig.. that is the solinoid valve and on the top is a blue or clear plastic cap and somtimes they will crack or have a small pin hole in them and will spray a very fine stream of water that is hard to see but can be felt on your finger tip.. pull out the frig and empty the ice tray and put it back in and close the freezer door or drawer and wait for the ice maker to call for water and have a bright flashlight ready, when it calles for water you will only have about 5-7 seconds to see where the leak is so make sure to feel around as well.; if your are replacing the ice maker supply line from the wall to the frig make sure to not over tighten the connection to the frig because it may cause that plastic cap to crack....I hope this helps....
the line that gives water to the ice maker, every time the water comes down it lives a drip of water that turns to ice blocking the line, get some hot water and a towel and place the hot wet towel on top of the line intel it melts the ice in side the line. it happens to my frige at list once a year. if that is not the problem the valve that supplies water tho the ice maker needs replacing, it's behind the frige at the bottom, where the line coming from the house meets the frige.
well there is two things it could be low water pressure or ur ice maker is defective try replaceing the ice maker this should work if not u need to get a frig repair man out to help u because if the problem is in the frezzer door it is not easy to fix on ur own
This could be a bad water valve in the frig. This frig has a double water valves. One for the ice maker and one for the water dispenser. It should be in the lower back. Where the water line goes in. You can check this valve easily. Find the double water valve on the frig. Turn off water supply to frig first. Swap the plastic water lines going from the water valve into the frig. Turn water supply on. Then see if the water dispenser works. Sometimes you will have to operate the water dispenser for a little while to get the air out of the line. If it works now then the problem is in the water valve solenoid and needs to be replaced.
pull the cover of the front of the ice maker. there should be directions as to what way to turn the main gear (use a philips screw driver). advance the ice maker until it starts to run on its own. if water comes in at the end of the cycle then you need a new ice maker. if no water comes in check to make sure the fill tube is not frozen. if it is clear replace the water valve.
