Hello Marie,
you may need to buy an audio cable or an adapter and audio cable depending on which model of iPad you have.
Any electronic store will have the cable you need. Most likely 3.5mm jack to RCA jack which you will plug into CD or MD input of the receiver and adjust the volume on your iPad.
If you have the newer model iPad you will a Lightning adapter to 3.5mm in which you plug in the 3.5mm to RCA to be connected to the input of the receiver (CD or MD)
I have included a link to the receiver's manual. Download it for Reference.
Do not hesitate to contact me, if you need further assistance.
Best of luck,
JP

I only have a vintage Peavey XR600B and I want to connect and ipod and ipad up to it so I can play music. Can I do this or do I need special cables?

Sure you can, but that mixer amp is a mono amp instead of stereo. Head for radio shack and get an 1/8" stereo male phone jack to 1/4" female mono adaptor. Plug the adaper into the headphone output of your device. Then run a shielded cable with 1/4" mono phone plugs on both ends (like an electric guitar would use) from the device to one of the channels on the Peavey. Bring the volume up on both the channel and master on the amp up maybe 1/3 the way. Play a track on your device and adjust the devices out put as high as it will go with out distorting the channel input. Then adjust the amp's channel and main output as you would normally to get the final volume you need.

Have a marshall mg250dfx from usa so it is 110 v but i'm over seas and I use it with a step down transformer 220in-110out and it worked perfectly for some time but today wile i was playing it started...

Assuming the power in is good (I would check that first though, AC voltage going into the amp), then plug a patch cord(any 1/4" to 1/4") cord into the effects loop on the back of the amp and insert and remove a plug into the headphone jack a number of times to clean the contacts(headphone jacks and effects loop jacks are normally switching jacks that pass audio when not in use). Still not working?... If the pots(gain, volume and tone controls, etc.) are scratchy that could be the issue. The input jack could be the cause(damaged, cracked solder or circuit board trace). Wiggle the input jack to see if that causes or corrects the problem. A little WD-40 works wonders on correcting dirty jack issues. If none of the above are the cause then it is likely a cracked solder joint, trace or component lead which would have to be resoldered/repaired (maybe dirty contacts between the small effects board and the main board). Also watch the overdrive channel LED when the audio drops. If the LED goes off could be a power supply issue or a channel switching issue. Tapping on the amp will help indicate bad connections, cracked component leads or damaged traces.

HOW DO I HOOK UP PASSIVE MONITORS TO BEHRINGER PMP4000

If you are using the amp in stereo mode, then you will require a separate amp for the monitors and the input of that amp are taken using BALANCED TRS cables from the monitor jacks. If you are using the amp as MONO and monitor, then connect NO MORE than two 8 ohm speakers to the Speakon plug on the back labeled for use as monitor. Refer to your user manual... they have detailed photos of the connections. If you lost your manual, you can download another from the Behringer site. There are settings you need to do to configure the unit after connecting your speakers. The small slide switch has to be set to the center position for Main/Mon. Make sure it is centered as many people have had it slightlyu off and the system will NOT pass audio. You need to set each channel "monitor 1" level control to send the monitor signal to the MONITOR mixing bus. You will then use the MONITOR 1 slider to control the amount sent to the monitor. Be VERY careful of grounding the sleeve of 1/4 inch jacks that originate at the Speakon power amp outputs as the SLEEVE of channel A is the HOT side and you can blow the power amp for the channel... it is EXPENSIVE to repair.

Play mac through Fender Frontman amp

Simple: connect the headphones out (3.5mm jack) to the input jack of your fender (6.3 jack). By doing this you will loose one channel so you better generate a mono signal inside your computer before. Electrically this is no problem, nothing will be damaged. Turn the gain and volume knobs down and apply a signal from your Mac. Gently increase gain and volume. Et voila wonderful mono sound through a guitar amp

On the kb 100 channel 1-3 will play for a hot sec. then the volume will go out. but it will play in one of the plugs on the back. tell me why is that. need help thank you.

If we knew what brand this was it might help us to help you. USUALLY the plugs on the back are direct connection to the power amps... One common thing that can happen is the switch on the back plugs of some amps pass the preamp output to the power amp when nothing is plugged in. SOMETIMES those contacts on those back jacks make poor contact and disconnect the preamp. Also bad solder joints can cause the behavior you are seeing...

Hi There, i have a Marshall MG100 DFX Series Guitar Combo Amp,and when i plug my guitar in i get verry little,or no sound from the guitar imput, can you please help. Thank you.

Try exceriszing the connections for input and headphone jacks ( just be inserting qtr inch connector in/out of jack ) a few times. then plug back into your input. if that didn't solve anything while amp is on move the input jack around ( up, down, left, right, ) and see if this makes the signal cut in/out to normal playing. if so you just have broken solder connections on the jack. Also you may just want to test your Speaker to make sure no problems exise there. ( Voltmeter across + and - terminals ) prolly 8 ohms but will most likely state on woofer. if not of this fixes your problem let me know and i'll throw some more steps your way.

I KNOW WHAT THE INPUT 1 AND 2 ARE USED FOR . BUT WHAT ARE PRE OUT AND POWER IN USED FOR. PLEASE HELP ME UNDERSTAND. THANKS DAVE

If one choses to use an external amplifier one takes the pre out and connects that to the in of the external amp.

If one uses an external mixer and wants to use the amp and speakers in the cabinet, the output of the mixer is connected to the Power Amp input.

HINT: DO NOT use these jacks... the jacks have switch contacts that pass the preamp to the power amp and if you use the jacks, sometimes these contacts fail and then you have to open the amp and restore the contacts to get it to work.

The jacks are really weak and EASILY damaged as are the guitar inout jacks if the cables are yanked sideways.

ALWAYS loop your cables through the handle so if they are yanked they don't damage the jacks.

Marshall MG50 DFX amp line out/headphones not working

Contrary to what's posted above, the Marshall MG series does not pass the speaker power output through the headphone jack, and inserting the headphones into the jack does not disable the speaker. The headphone amp is a separate circuit and it's input is taken before the master volume. So Jan's post is exactly right. Turn off the master volume and turn up all the other gain/volumes as high as they will go. The other issue is that the headphone jack's output does not drive low efficiency headphones well, so you need some headphones similar to Sony's MDR-V700s to hear it well. Earbuds just don't cut it.

EFFECTS LOOP NOT SURE.

The send jack on your amp should be connected to the input jack on your pedal and the return jack on your amp should be connected to the output jack on your pedal. Read the manuals for both the pedal and the amp. If you don't have them you can usually find them on the websites of the manufacturers. Make sure your levels on the amp and the pedal are turned down when you plug them in.

After hour of playing the amp starts the effect popping sound

there is an open connection, most likely right off the input jack ,causing this issue. Resolder it or retension the jack connection.
