When no leaks are found and you are getting an E1 error, the most common reason is that two things are true.

1.) The dishwasher drain hose does not connect to an airgap valve before it connect to the garbage disposal (or drain connection)

2.) That same drain hose does not have a high point in the hose between the dishwasher and the drain. This allows a natural siphon effect to pull the water out of the DW during the wash and rinse cycle.

The best solution is to install a dishwasher air gap on your sink and connect the drain hose to it and the air gap to the actual drain. They are almost free and any real hardware store.

But if the air gap is not possible, lift the drain hose as high as possible under the counter top and attach it so it stays up there.

The lg ld 4050w will not strat or allow me to change the mode (power is on). Also when working the glasses are not coming out clean - they look like they have had dirty water on them. I have adjusted the...

To me, it sounds like hard water deposits. This is happening because many state governments recently changed a law so that phosphate is not allowed in dishwasher detergent. Phosphate is good at cleaning the grit from your dishes, but it's bad for the environment. One solution is available from CitriClean of Florida.

Hello Do you know where I can download the user guide for the LG LD-4050W dishwasher. Thank you Rosemary

Do a Google search for LG website. There should be a search bar on the website itself and type that model number in and it should bring back your owner's manual.

Error Code OE

Hi there,
The most common cause of an OE error code on a modern LG dishwasher is:
1. Blocked drain hose
2. Obstruction in the sump area (beneath the filter, which needs to be removed to check for onstruction)
3. Failing drain motor.

else you need to REPLACE THE PCB POWER CONTROL BOARD

Good Luck!!!

"E 1 code error

E1 is a drain error. On the unit prior to mar 07 LG had a problem with wires breaking in the door. Turn off power supply, remove door panel and look for wires stuck in the insulation. Check continuity of the wires, if broken, splice and tape. Place insulation between black insulation and wires to prevent reoccurence.

Lg dishwasher model LD - 14AT2

E1 is usually a very common fault of the wash motor not working.

The impeller breaks away from the motor shaft and doesn't spin, therefore, it doesn't pump water.

There is a sensor that activates with low pump pressure, which shuts down the machine and displays the error, E1.

The only other causes (that I'm aware of) are leaking water supply hoses, or pump blockage, but the motor fault is by far the most common.

Hope this helps.

LG Dishwasher

ok. our machine has done this for 6 months or so, it was ok for the 1st 6 months. i have checked and cleaned and unblocked and gone bloody crazy. today i found the fault and fixed quickly.

the installer stuffed up. the waster water hose must head up and be fixed just under your bench top, then come down hill to your exit/spiggot/drain attachment.

ours was just lying more or less at floor level coming up to the spiggot. so whenever the waste water pump switched off, water would run back into the machine, hence the OE error, and also dirty water with food would then get chucked around it what should have been a clean rinse.

a diagram of the waste water house and how it should be done is in the manual.

i just about blew $1500 on a new machine !!
