Dear,

Follow these instruction and the work will be done..

Click start
Click Run
Type "CMD"
Hit Enter - A black screen should now appear (this function can be achieved by selecting Start---->Programes---->Accessories---->Command Prompt)
Type "diskpart"
Wait untill you get "DISKPART>" then type in "select volume (blank)" fill in the blank with the letter of the drive you are trying to remove write protection from
Now type "attributes volume clear readonly"

Remember select correct letter otherwise u will loose data of other drive..

e.g; if your Flash USB drive is F then type F there..

goodluck..
hope it will fix the issue so dont forget to rate it.....

I need to reformat a 4gb sandisk micro

You don't need an image. Just format it. Put your drive into a USB port; right click on that drive after it appears in My Computer and select Format; set the File System drop-down to NTFS (better file storage space) or FAT32 (more compatibility in older operating systems) and click Start.

How i format 8 gb usb sandisk

Usually, it comes formatted. However, you can re-format it (e.g. on a PC or Mac) using the usual disk format utilities, if you don't need any special/specific (SDHC) format features.
For instance, on a PC ... insert the USB SanDisk into a USB port. It will show up as a (storage) device on your "My Computer" window. Highlight that icon ... (put the cursor over it) ... and put your cursor on the FILE (menu) tab and click on it. It will display a drop-down menu with "Format" on it.
Click on the "Format" and it will guide you through the formatting process.
On a Mac, when you insert the USB SanDisk into a USB port, it will show up as a device on your desktop. You can use the "Disk Utilities" software (usually in the Applications - Utilities folder), to format it.

My sandisk cruzer 4 GB pendrive ws working fine but now whenever i try to format\copy\cut it shows location 0 with used space 0 free space 0 what should i do

Your flashdrive usually shows 2 drives when inserted to your computer, one is the U3 drive and the other one is the removable disk drives. U3 drive is your separate partition for the U3 system and in order for you to store, copy, format your flashdrive, you should be selecting the removable disk drive, not the U3 drive. U3 is a read only memory drive that is responsible for your U3 to work (just like portable applications). Hope this helps.

The pc you are using may be reserving that drive letter for some other device, unplug all other usb devices and try it again.

4 GB sandisk pendrive can't open

1. continue without solving
2. If you didn't remove the drive with the safe removal tool in the task bar ( lower right hand corner) the drive will lose it's ability to be mounted or seen by Windows and will not format. You will lose data.
