When you say when i press the button what button are you pressing

have you slid the bluetooth switch over to the on position on your acer and do you actually have bluetooth on the laptop i have a acer 5630 with the bluetooth switch on the front of the laptop but the laptop dosent even support bluetooth so it crazy having the switch there

Do you actually see the Bluetooth device in device manager? Normally if it's not turned on it won't appear in device manager. The next thing I can think of is that if the Bluetooth module was not turned on when you loaded the drivers then they won't work.
And lastly the module may have come lose or unseated from the slot. Are you absolutely 100% sure there's Bluetooth hardware on this laptop? Is this built-in or a USB dongle?

If built-in have you turned it on? Acer uses a slide switch to turn Bluetooth and Wireless LAN on and off.
The first thing you probably need to establish is whether the laptop has a Bluetooth module fitted. Plenty of Acer laptops support Bluetooth in some markets and not in others and actually have slider switches to turn Bluetooth on/off but don't have the Bluetooth module fitted.

Does the unit say that it supports Bluetooth on the sticker attached to the front of the laptop? The models that have Bluetooth typically have this listed on these and will also list it on the packaging that came with the laptop that lists its specs. If it doesn't mention it odds are it's not fitted.
Acer laptops have the Bluetooth buttons, but not always have the Bluetooth Module. Check the bottom white sticker for a Bluetooth symbol under the laptop. If you do not see it, there is no Bluetooth. Also, if you press/move the Bluetooth button, and the light doesn't turn blue, there's no Bluetooth module with your laptop (only the button), so your laptop did not come with Bluetooth.

Also, you can add Bluetooth, but you need to be able to take the laptop apart to a certain extent, such as taking off the cover (top portion), keyboard, and maybe the speakers. The Bluetooth should have a 4pin, 6pin, or 8pin Bluetooth Cable connected to a Bluetooth module. You need to purchase the Bluetooth module, and install it, but you need professional help for that.

In case your laptop won't have a Bluetooth module fitted. The switch doesn't mean anything, it's present on all Acer laptops whether they have Bluetooth fitted or not.

You can buy the module as a spare part from Acer and fitting it is easy however buying a cheap USB Bluetooth dongle will be a cheaper option.

the 5536-5224 DOESN'T have bluetooth. It has the button but it's not functional. You have to buy a bluetooth chip and install it. Believe me I know, I did it. You can install all the drivers you want but without putting in the chip you will never have bluetooth.

make sure the driver is installed.

There are six sub models included in the model number you have given and according to the acer website none of the specifications indicate that there is wirelss bluetooth built into the laptop. So it appears that it does not.

Unfortunately your laptop doesn't have bluetooth built in. You can actually purchase bluetooth adapters as low as a couple of US dollars on ebay.

No there is no bluetooth device inside.

Acer uses same chassis for other laptops with bluetooth, thats why there is bluetooth button.

u dont have bluetooth in it according to my knowledge it is in built module if ur notebook soes not have a bluetooth button on the left side normally press it it will turn blue color if it does then tell me i can help more in connection

if it does not come with bluetooth module then u have to buy external bluetooth dongle it is cheap and availble everywhere on internet i dont think that u can fit it inside the casing if it is not in built hope it helps
