You probably need a audio cable that runs from the pc audio out to the TV audio in. Radio shack has them so do a lot of hardware store and best buy.

Vizio M550SV no sound. Is there an audio card or does the main board have to be replaced?

See page 8 here:

From the top
- HDMI - both Audio and Video come from device via one cable.
- RF Coaxial (aka CATV) - both Audio and Video come from device via one cable.
- 15 Pin Dsub (they are calling it RGB), Video comes from this cable and Audio is from a dual 1/4" plug (looks like a headphone wire at both ends).
- Component (this is true RGB) uses RCA type cables - two sets of cables, cable one has 3 RCA at each end and they are color coded, as follows Red/Green/Blue, cable two has two RCA color coded as follows White/Red. Cable one is Video, and cable two is audio, total of 5 connections at source and 5 connections at tv.
- Composite AV - one cable set, coded as follows - Red/White/Yellow, Red/White are audio and Yellow is video.
Hope this helps.

Hello,
Your TV should have an AUDIO OUTPUT other than optic..at least " Headphones" output..
You can connect TV audio output with a RCA cable.
white and red audio jack....
since SUB has both RCA and "3,5mm Headphone female Jack"..here are the options;
** you need to buy a cable one end 3,5mm MALE headphone jack and the other end 2xRCA stereo (or 1x RCA for mono or you may need "Y cable " ) to be connected to your TV...
** or 2x RCA
white and red audio jack and connect from your TV..
**" "Headphones" output to SUB with 3,5 male-to-male cable ( the least recommended)
And you need to connect front, centre and rear speakers to your SUB as well...
Take care and if it succeeds please Remember to rate/vote and give me 4 Thumbs Up

Hope this helps!

Dear Sir, We have Toshiba REGZA 24PB1E LCD TV. I want to test our Gigabyte PC GA-G41M-Combo MB with VGA port (15 Pin Connector) Pls let us know how to connect & get the solution ASAP. For...

Hello

With either the PC IN or HDMI connection, you can watch

your computer's display on the TV and hear the sound from the
TV's speakers.

When connecting a PC to the PC IN terminal on the TV, use an
analog RGB (15-pin) computer cable and a PC audio cable.

To use a PC, set the monitor output resolution on the PC

before connecting it to the TV. The following signals can be
displayed:

Format Resolution V. Frequency

VGA 640 × 480 60Hz

SVGA 800 × 600 60Hz
XGA 1024 × 768 60Hz

Other formats or non-standard signals will not be displayed

correctly.

Note:

• The PC audio input terminals on the TV are shared with the
HDMI-1 analog audio input terminals
• Some PC models cannot be connected to this TV.
OK.

Trying to hook my home PC into my LG TV gets me the message Invalid Format, what can I do to get the signal or can i use this tv for my monitor with a dell PC

Connect VGA (D-sub 15 pin) cable from PC to TV (RGB PC) input jack. Connect audio cable from PC to TV. Set screen resolution on PC to be compatible with TV, such as 800 X 600 or 1024 X 768 etc. Select on the TV, the PC INPUT using the TV remote when ready to use as monitor.

Under PICTURE on the TV select SCREEN (RGB-PC). You can AUTO-CONFIG or you can set resolution manually to the same you set PC to. Other adjustments can be done here as well to get optimum picture on TV from PC.

Connecting Toshiba Lap Top to NEC LCD TV

From user manual (page 68):
Your computer comes with a built-in display panel, but you can also
connect an external display device to an available video port, as
follows:
❖ An external monitor or projector via the RGB (monitor) port
❖ A TV, VCR, or DVD recorder via the S-video (TV-out) port
Before connecting an external monitor or video projector, configure
your computer for the type of device you are connecting. To do this,
refer to the documentation for your operating system and devices

So you have to use an RGB cable or a S-video cable : your cable should be plugged into 15 pin VGA port in your PC and plug it into a correspondent port in your TV.
Try also S- video and select correponding input in your TV set (Both connection type DO NOT carry sound: use your audio connector from PC to TV audio input.)
Configure your extended screen using your manual instruction:
Once you have connected an external display device, you can
choose to use the internal display only, the external device only, or
both simultaneously. The quickest way to change the display output
settings is to use the display hot key (Fn + F5):
1 Press Fn and F5 simultaneously.
2 While holding down Fn, press F5 repeatedly until the setting
you want takes effect. Briefly pause each time you press the F5
key to allow time for the display to change.
This hot key cycles through the settings in the following order:
❖ Built-in display only
❖ Built-in display and external monitor simultaneously
❖ External monitor only
❖ Built-in display and TV
❖ TV only
