My pencil is jammed

Mechanical uni-agel pencil is jammed. Whole piece of lead stuck in there. I was able to unjam it once since lead was sticking out and clear the barrel, but when I put new lead in, it got jammed again, and there is not enough lead sticking out that I can clear it. There are no broken pieces.

SOURCE: major Paper Jam on Dell 5110

When working with any printer it's inevitable that you'll encounter a paper jam. Below are the steps you'll want to follow when this occurs.

1. Turn off the printer.
2. Inspect the location or tray the printed paper ejects to. If the stuck paper is visible manually remove it.*
3. Remove all paper trays and any paper that may be stuck between the tray and the printer. If the stuck paper is visible manually remove it.*
4. Open the printer door that allows you access to the printer ink cartridges or toner and look for any stuck paper. If the stuck paper is visible manually remove it.*
5. Turn the printer back on. If you continue to receive a printer jam error try repeating the above steps again.

If issue still persist and you see no paper that is stuck in the printer it's likely your printer is experiencing another hardware issue and we suggest contacting the printer manufacturer for additional assistance and/or repair. *

To manually remove paper pull on the paper with both hands being careful not to tear the paper while pulling it. If you're unable to get to an edge of the paper that allows you to pull it you may need to manually rotate the gears that feed the paper through the printer. Preventing a printer paper jam As mentioned earlier it is inevitable that you will encounter at least one paper jam during the life of your printer.

However, if you're encountering frequent paper jams following the below steps can help prevent paper jams from occurring. * If your printer has a paper tray do not fill the tray to capacity. If you're encountering frequent paper jams reduce the amount of paper you place in the tray each time it is filled. * Make sure you or the tray feeding the paper into the printer is aligned properly and/or the slider used to hold the paper in place in the tray is snug with the paper. Many printers have sliders that allow different types and sizes of paper to be fed into the printer. If the slider is not properly positioned it can cause paper jams. *

Use standard office paper; folded paper, paper with labels, and specialty paper such as hard bound paper can often cause paper jams. If you're uncertain with what type of paper you should use with your printer your printer documentation will list the types of paper compatible with your printer. * Do not mix the types of paper you're feeding into the printer at one time. If you need to change the type of paper or size of paper being used removed any other paper currently in the printer before inserting the new paper. * Examine the printer for any previous stuck paper in the printer. Previous paper jams, torn paper, printing labels or other foreign objects in the printer can cause reoccurring printer jams.
I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue.

SOURCE: Printer keeps paper jamming when i go to print. I

That happens when there is either a timing problem in the feed assembly, when you pull out a jam sometimes the gear timing can get offset, also a bent or broken sensor arm. Should have a shop take a look for you...

SOURCE: BOSTITCH 1664FN 16 Gauge is spitting out 2 nails,

There is not enough room in the nose of the gun for two 16 gauge nails. Most likely 18 gauge nails are the problem (thinner). If nails are correct, tip of driver must be damaged allowing the driver to hit part of the next nail. The driver should be slightly tapered on the side that faces the rails so that the driver will hit first nail head and gently shove the rest of the nails back into the rails out of the way. I dont believe that you have any missing pieces. If nails are correct, remove head and pull out the driver and check for damage. Hold the tip of the driver against nail head, should be slightly thinner than head of nail.If the driver is not tapered slightly on the side that faces the nails, maybe you should sand it a little so the driver will not hit the second nail. Goodluck

My dcp 150c printer has been jammed for weeks, i have done everything it said in the manual but it won't unjam

This Brother printer could have a piece of paper stuck in it. When a paper jams, assemble the jammed page pieces to make sure all the pieces came out.
A jammed paper can also knock loose the paper detect arm that senses a paper in the machine. This detect arm is usually near the platen (The roller the print head prints against) to detect paper in the machine. If this arm is stuck, it could be sensing paper when there is none.
Rubber paper rollers should all be cleaned with rubbing alcohol or a mild soap solution (I use Windex) to prevent feed jamming.
