How do I get to the boot sequence in an advent QC7003

Removing the hard drive will not boot to the BIOS. Try pressing F2 when your laptop is booting. Change the boot order to your hard drive.

Look for any warnings or post messages during boot sequence

1. Verify the RAM are the correct modules for your computer.
2. If the RAM is correct then remove 1 stick of RAM
3. Check the jumper settings on the HDD to verify Master, Slave, or Cable Select.
4. Remove the hard drive and verify the system will post.
5. Reinstall the HDD and boot to Bios and verify all devces are detected.
6. You might reset the Bios with the J2,3 to the J1,2 jumper.on the mother board.

Troublshooting is a process of elimination. Start barebones and work your way up!

try adjusting the boot sequence or at least enabling a different priority in the boot sequence ,,press F2 to get to the bios and learn how to navigate these pages

This sounds like a bad video driver update.

Restart the machine and repeatedly tap the F8 key. When you see the advanced boot menu appear choose safe mode.

You will see white text on screen that will stop on a system 32 driver, wait a minute and let it boot through.

Next, go do device manager and uninstall the display drivers or roll back the driver to a previous one.
Reboot the machine and it should boot into windows normally. You may have to reinstall the display drivers if they don't reinstall themselves.

when you restart, quickly look out for the option that will give you access to the boot.

the computer shoulda came with a disk and that would be your operating system disk so put it in, then start your computer and if it doesnt boot to the disk, then hit F2 and change the boot options and make it boot from the disk and so when it does boot, then thats when u can reinstall windows back to factory settings but i dunno about advent notebooks. in HP tho, u can do it from the start menu cuz the reinstall settings are already on your computer so ya dont need the disk

Do you want to disable the onboard touchpad while you use an external mouse?
To do this there should be a key sequence on the laptop like Fn+ F8 (or another key) it has a mouse symbol on it.
