You never know when you might need a first aid kit and having one that is small enough to fit in your pocket or a small bag never hurts. I travel with an Altoids tin full of essential first aid supplies. Take a few band-aids of various different sizes, gauze, an air tight plastic bag of Q-tips and cotton balls, sterile alcohol wipes, water proof tape and a small retractable knife. Fold them all up, snap the lid of the tin and you are ready for most daily first aid needs. If you have the space you an fit in some pain medication like Tylenol pills and some allergy medication.
