Check your outlet filter, most likely it is blocked, preventing the water from draining out. Chk your pump too. Before this disconnect from the wall socket; and also check the pipe coming from the tub to the filter. Siphon out the excess water from inside the machine before you open the pipes.

I had the same problem. What may be the problem is the tiny water drip hole that feeds the drip tray is blocked with coffee sludge. Open the machine and remove the dump bucket, drip tray, and the brew group. Behind the brew group is a flat plastic piece which has a small drip hole at the bottom of it. This may be blocked which causes the water that should go into the drip tray to build up and overflow inside the machine running onto the countertop. Clean out the area behind the little drip hole and the hole itself. This should cure it.

my w830 is doing exactly the same thing.
I am usually pretty good at fixing these sort of things so if/when I solve it I will post back here.
I think it is a motor fault - most likely the motor brushes are worn out.

Excess water into the drip tray is an indication that you don't have enough coffee going into the brew unit. There is a lever on the top of the door that has a + on one side and a - to the front. Push the lever back to the full plus, then pull it forward 1 click. Try that.
Water into the drip tray is normal in small amounts. This is the release of pressure after brewing, like the 3 way valve on commercial machines

There should be a small amount of coffee residue and about an oz. of water going into the drip tray. This is the pressure relief process, when the machine finishes the coffee making. If it didn't release the pressure thhis way you could have an explosion of coffee when it cycles back.
