SOURCE: Honda FG100 Tiller - Tines wont move

I took the transmission apart and the gears were fine. The friction pads on the centrifugal clutch don't seem to make full contact with the drum. Does anyone know what the thickness of the friction pads are suppose to be? I used some belt dressing on the pads and got some movement on the tines. With no wear on the gears, I guess I'll be replacing the clutch.

SOURCE: Honda FG100 tiller will not prime, filter replaced

Well if the unit has fuel than it should prime unless the primer bulb is damaged and unable to force air/gas through the line. This is definetly a fuel issue, I would remove both the line from the tank to the carb and carb to engine and clean them thoroughly.

When you press the bulb the carb should shoot gas from the unit when disconnected. If this isn't happening your clog is here. If it does eject gasoline than your clog is the clear line which sometimes collects sediment if the gas is poluted.

Honda tiller starts, but blades won't move. Oil is fine, no weird smells.

If this is fg100 model could be worn out clutch or broken parts in transmission.

How do u change the oil in honda fg110 tiller

The simple way is to take a oil pan and lift the tiller with the plug removed and drain it out while holding over the pan. Dispose of oil properly. I have an older model that does not have an oil drain plug.

Motor runs but the tines want turn

Either the clutch is gone or the transmission gear is stripped. These need to be properly greased annually so that this happens less. The transmission replacement can be done but the dealer will charge you about what you paid for it ($250) or if you know someone handy they can order the parts here: http://www.planopower.com/store/honda/fg100.shtml and rebuild it for you. It would cost about $85 for a full transmission rebuild.

Good luck.

I need a worm wheel for a Honda minitiller FG100.

You can buy parts for this from www.petessmallengine.com
I had to replace the tine shaft w/worm wheel assy. This is usually the weak point in the transmission. The worm is made out of brass.
