How do I change the temperature settings on the Malta 145 (-)L AD freezer

Following is the instruction for adjusting the freeser temperature for your Samsung refrigerator:
You press the freezer temperature button repeatedly till you see your desired temperature. If you want to set it to -2F, stop when the display shows -2F and don't press the freezer button again. After 5 seconds this new temperature will be set.

The Freezer temperature can be set between 8°F and -14°F to suit your particular needs. Press the Freezer button repeatedly until the desired temperature is shown in the temperature display. Keep in mind that foods like ice cream may melt at 4°F. The temperature display will move sequentially from -14°F to 8°F. When the display reaches 8°F, it will begin again at -14°F. Five seconds after the new temperature is set, the display will again show the actual current freezer temperature. However, this value will be changed to the new temperature.

Controlling the Freezer temperature
The freezer temperature can be set between -14°C (8°F) and -25?C (-14°F) to suit your particular needs. Press the freezer button repeatedly until the desired temperature is shown in the temperature display. Keep in mind that foods like ice cream may melt at -16?C (4°F). The temperature display will move sequentially from -14°C (8°F) and -25?C (-14°F). When the display reaches -14?C (8°F), it will begin again at -25?C (-14°F). temperature in two star sections are slightly higher than other freezer compartment.

Controlling the Fridge temperature
The refrigerator temperature can be set between 7?C (45°F) and 1?C (34°F) to suit your particular needs. Press the fridge button repeatedly until the desired temperature is shown in the
temperature display. The temperature control process for the Fridge works just like the Freezer process. Press the fridge button to set your desired temperature. After a few seconds, the Fridge will
begin tracking towards the newly set temperature. This will be reflected in the digital display. The temperature of the freezer or the refrigerator may rise from opening the doors too frequently, or if a large amount of warm or hot food is placed in either side. This may cause the digital display to blink. Once the freezer and refrigerator return to their normal set temperatures the blinking will stop.
If the blinking continues, you may need to "reset" the refrigerator. Try unplugging the appliance, wait about 10 minutes and then plug back in.

The refrigerator does not work at all or it does not chill sufficiently.
• Check that the power plug is properly connected.
• Is the temperature control on the display panel set to the correct
temperature? Try setting it to a lower temperature.
• Is the refrigerator in direct sunlight or located too near a heat source?
• Is the back of the refrigerator too close to the wall and therefore keeping air from circulating?

I understand that you want to know if the green light has to be on at all times and the temperature set to normal on your Frigidaire freezer, model# FFU2124D. The green light will always be on. This is letting you know that there is power going to your freezer. You do not have to leave to temperatures set on normal. You are able to choose any temperature that works for you and keeps your food frozen. When changing temperature settings, turn the knob slightly in the direction you want, and wait 24 hours for temperatures to stabilize. If you want to change the temperatures more, again wait another 24 hours after changing them, for the temperature to stabilize. Hope this is helpful.

Generally speaking it is recommended that the temperature knob is set in the middle for both the refrigerator and freezer compartment for top mount refrigerators. The temperature can be adjusted by moving the knob in small increments, allowing the temperature to stabilize. If you desire a colder temperature, then turn the knob towards COLDER, or for warmer temperature, turn the knob towards COLD. Turning the refrigerator control will change temperatures in both compartments. For example, if the refrigerator control is turned to a colder setting, the freezer control may have to be adjusted to a warmer setting. Turning the freezer control will only change the freezer temperature. Hope this proves to be helpful!

The settings are "relative". Someone with this fridge in Montana may need to run the same fridge with different settings than someone in Texas to get the same temperatures.

Many manufacturers recommend that the fresh food compartment should be 34 degrees F, and the freezer -10 to 0 degrees F. To set this properly, place a thermometer in the freezer (that can display temperatures as low as the desired temperature). Adjust the thermometer for the correct freezer temperature before going on to the fridge. A fully stocked freezer could take 12 hours or more for temperatures to stabilize after making changes to the thermostat. Once the -10 to 0 degree temperature has been achieved, set the fresh food compartment temperature.

Place a thermometer (that can display below freezing) in a 6 (or so) oz flexible plastic cup of water and place on a shelf in the fridge. A glass of water could break if the temperature gets below 32 degrees if the water turns to ice. The water acts as a buffer to rapidly changing temperatures when the door is opened to read the thermometer. If the fridge is "full", allow 24 hours for the temperature to stabilize before making changes.

If the fridge and freezer are empty, changes may be seen in just a few hours or less. Otherwise, wait the 12 / 24 hours for the freezer / fridge compartments.

The fridge should be just above freezing, maybe 2 or 3 degrees celsius. The freezer should be around -15 degrees celsius. The outside temp doesn't matter as far as the settings go.

it has to get down to the proper temperature after the reset the set point is -4 for the freezer and 38 for the refrigerator. the numbers shown o\n the digital display panel stands for the actual temperatures. When the compartmnet tempertures go down, so do the numbers on thge display panel, and finally they reach the set temperatures. Once the system is stabilized , the display tempoeratures are the set temperature.
