If I delete a yahoo mesanger contact, does it automatically delete my icon from their list to let them know that they have been deleted?

Many instant message programs are set, by default, to save your chat history.

To delete a contact from your address book:

Here's how you can delete call history from your yahoo messenger on your iphone 4:

A.Open Yahoo! Messenger.Click the "Voice Messages & Call History" icon located at the top of your Messenger list. The Messenger window will open.

B.Click the "Contacts" menu and select the "Voice Messages & Call History" option. The Messenger list displays all of your contacts.

C.Right-click a contact and select "Voice Messages & Call History" from the menu. The Voice Messages & Call History window will open, displaying your entire call history.

D.Press "Ctrl-A" simultaneously. This will highlight all entries in your call list.

E.Click the "Delete" icon--it's on the far right of the menu and is displayed as a "X" symbol. This will delete your entire call history

Open Yahoo!Messenger, login and on the lists of contacts, right click one of the contacts, select "Delete", the selected contact will be deleted. If you wish to delete multiple contacts, hold down "Ctrl" on the keyboard while you click the names in the contact lists. Once the contacts are selected, right click and select "Delete" to delete them.

unfortunately you can't do that unless you know their account and manually doing it. Instead, I suggest you to create a new account. That way you can manage who to add and not add the person on your yahoo list. To delete someone from your Messenger List:

1. Click the contact's name while pressing the Control key to highlight the contact. (You can also right-click on the contact's name.)
2. Select Delete.

you can ask yahoo to block that a/c

I have since found out that you have to actually go into your contacts under yahoo mail and delete them from that list, then it deletes them from your messenger. Found this solution on another website. Hope this helps anyone else who is having that problem.
