The internal microcomputer has frozen, due to an external electric
shock (such as lightning or excessive static electricity) or to a drop
in the power supply voltage.
Hold down z (power) on the front panel for more than 10 seconds to initialize
and reboot the unit. (If the problem persists, disconnect the power cable from the AC wall outlet and plug it again.)

I need to program my Yamaha rav352 remote to my Yamaha RX-V2500 Reciever. This is not the original remote but the original required remote

To program your Yamaha RAV352 remote to your Yamaha RX-V2500 receiver, you can follow these steps:
  1. Turn on your Yamaha RX-V2500 receiver.
  2. Press and hold the "DVD" button on your RAV352 remote until the "DVD" button lights up.
  3. Press the "Code Set" button on the remote.
  4. Enter the code "30476" using the number buttons on the remote. The "DVD" button will blink twice to confirm the code has been entered.
  5. Press the "Power" button on the remote to test if the receiver turns off. If it does, the programming was successful. If not, repeat steps 2-4 with a different code until you find the correct one.
If you're unable to find the correct code for your receiver using the above steps, you may need to try using the "Auto Search" function on the remote. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. Turn on your Yamaha RX-V2500 receiver.
  2. Press and hold the "Code Set" button on the RAV352 remote until the indicator light starts flashing.
  3. Press the "Power" button on the remote to start the Auto Search function. The indicator light will continue to flash as the remote searches for a compatible code.
  4. Once the receiver turns off, press the "Enter" button on the remote to save the code.
  5. Test the remote by pressing the "Power" button to turn the receiver back on.
Hopefully, one of these methods will successfully program your Yamaha RAV352 remote to your Yamaha RX-V2500 receiver.

Why is the rx v475 sending more power to one speaker than the other? It is about half power.

Is the channel distorted, or just plain low? If you require more assistance, or would like to inquire about repairing your Yamaha, please visit my website at audioserviceclinic.com. You may contact me there. Thank you.

Power shut down due to protection circuit activated 3 times

I had the exact problem with the same model. The way to reset it to the factory default is quite easy (you will lose all previous settings). first , Make sure that it is plugged. Then press on the "info" and the "tone control" at the same time. Keep pressing for a few seconds. you will hear a "clicking" sound and the receiver will turn on.
