How to put new drive belt belt on on model 247-27022

If it like mine you have to remove the pulleys to get it off.

Put the new belt on the back pulley. Place the other end of the belt onto the front pulley. By hand turn the front pulley and the belt will feed it self on.

Getting drive belts is easy, fitting them is the problem. If it is still attached in any way make a note or a photo of how it is fixed. This will help to putting a new one on. Measure the diameter of the old belt in mm. You will also need to measure the thickness in mm too. Then put these words into Google: "Turntable Belt xx mm" (use the diameter measurement in place of the XX). Then search the results looking for something that is very close to your belt. If you find the belt, try searching again for the fitting of it. Quote the model number of the turntable. The fitting instructions might even be found on this site.

go here and this should help you.when you put the belt on the ribs are up so the smooth side touches the drum,the easiest way is rap the belt around the pulley,feel and make sure the left side of the belt is in the metal v like bracket,with your left hand grab the right side of the belt and pull it to the left to put it onto the motor shaft while with your right hand you push the pulley to the left at the same time,it's a little different from a regular whirlpool belt but you should get it,if it feels like the belt isn't long enough make sure the new belt is on the old mark on the drum.hope this helps.part number for belt is Y312959

What is the make and model of the car? Are you saying that just that belt system does not turn or the whole engine wont run?

drive belt has 6 ribs.to buy a new belt take old drive belt with you you so you will get the right size belt.tell the auto parts store the year and model type car.tell them your engine size.and they will find the belt size you need.

Can you confirm your model number? FAV6800A or FAV9800A?

If it's one of those models with 120VAC power cord removed from the service outlet and the front cover removed. See if you can rotate the Clutch Pulley CW the wash agitate direction and then CCW the Spin direction. The Clutch Pulley is the large pulley in the center of the washer. We are looking to see if the drive system is seized.

After the drive belt replacement was there any belt screech when you powered up the machine and selected a Wash or Spin Only Cycle?

there is no belt on your model there is a reset button on the side by the brush

First you have to remove the top cover over the belt. If it's still on, work it off the pully. Then you have to remove the blade, blade adapter and cover underneath. Put the new belt on the pulley underneath and push it out the slot to the pulley on top and put everthing back together. Hope that helps.
