Could be the switch (see inverter module), the stepper motor (engine), or the inverter module.

SOURCE: auto idle does not work propertly on makita g 6101 generator

The battery charging is also a load. If the battery is not well charged or old it may need about 60 - 120 W to charge, which is not "Idle".

SOURCE: Can you pair a 2200 W series to a 2300 W series Ryobi generator ?

no
to pair ac generators you have to get the cycles exact or they will destroy each other
that is to say that you you had a cycle meter for each gen set and could see where the sine wave was on each , then at the right time you could switch on the second genset and have an out put of 5.5 kw but as that is not possible then you cannot pair the two

Why my ryobi 2200 cant run a refrigerator?

The power demand of a refrigerator is too high for your 2200. You need something that can provide at least twice the power output of your 2200.

Why does my Ryobi 2200 watt generator surge at low RPM's

That sounds like dirty/clogged idle circuit passages in the carbureator. A little spary carb cleaner might work, but you might have to rebuild it.

My ryobi 2200 generator rebs hi and low over and over it works but i feel it might turn off

You need to clean carburator. The bowl float opens and closes the pin valve. The float may have a leak, if gas inside float, it needs replacing. Or the valve is sticking. Get a good carb cleaner product at parts store. If its very bad you may need to take carb apart and soak the parts to clean them. Make sure you are turning off gas valve when not in use. You should turn off gas valve and let the motor run out of gas before using kill switch to drain gas from carberator each time its run. Then this won't happen. If no gas valve, buy one and install. Its worth it.

Generator does not go down to idle when no load

Check the idle control rod Is it bent or hanging up on something?

When I have it on it stays on high idle speed. When I push the auto idle it will not change the speed to normal. It idles at high speed all time.

If you have anything plugged into the generator, consuming any electric, it will run at high. It must run at high speed to generate 120V. It will only idle if your turn off the load.

Unit starts with auto throttle off. engaging auto throttle shuts down unit. in past months, pluging in a cord would shut down unit. That is with no tool in use, just plugging into the receptacle.

Hi. There are 2 things that control the Auto Throttle and that is the idle control valve (Connected with black and yellow wires) and the Auto Throttle Unit.

Start Generator
Check for 12VDC on the Yellow wire of the idle control valve. Yellow is positive to any good Chassis ground. If you don't have 12VDC then either the Auto Throttle switch is bad or the Auto Throttle Unit iself.

You can gain access to the Auto throttle switch and again check for 12VDC to Ground on both sides of the switch with the switch on. (It may read as high as 13.8 engine running) If you don't get 12 - 13.8 VDC the the Auto throttle control unit is bad

If you have 12VDC to the Idle control Valve and it does not work perform a resistance check across the coil of the Idle control Valve (both wires disconnected Engine off) Black to yellow should read 3 to 4 Ohms If you have no resistance then the coil in the Idle control Valve is bad.

Wont speed up

If it is suppose to speed up there should be a switch that says auto idle. Just turn that off and this will cure your problems
