SOURCE: replace pullcord on troy built mower

Replacing the rope is not difficult but tricky. I believe that your model has a fuel tank on top of starter cover, empty fuel and remove tank to expose starter cover. Remove the starter cover and place it on your workbench with the plastic rewind spool visible and remove the old rope noting how it was tied. The rope is sold in various sizes from # 3 to # 6.5. Most mowers use a #4.5, with length of about 6 to 7 feet. You may not need this much but more is better. Now practice inserting the rope thru the hole where it comes out of the cover into the hole where it ties on the spool. Once you can do this you are ready to wind. The spool /spring winds when you pull the rope, that why it recoils when you let go of the rope. With that in mind, turn (wind) the spool in the same direction that it turns when you pull the rope. It should be getting tighter as you turn. Keep winding in the direction that it turns when you pull the rope untill it will not go anymore. It should be very tight. Now unwind one complete turn and align the hole of the spool to the hole in the housing and hold it there while you insert the rope from outside hole into the spool and tie knot. After the knot is tied slowly let rope rewind into the spool untill it stops on its own. You are done. You should have plenty of extra rope left to extend out to the handlebar. Enjoy

SOURCE: How do you clean the unloader valve on a power washer pump?

The unloader valve usually is replaced. I dont know if you can get o-rings for it. But if you want to take it apart, there will be a crown or cap style nut just below the spring. Unscrew it completely and you will be able to remove the spool. There is just a series of o-rings on it.

SOURCE: Karcher G3050OH Pressure Washer Spill / Unloader Valve (Bypass)

You should put 'locktite' on the male thread and screw it in all the way and lock it there. That is how it works ,the spring keeps the valve at the bottom closed during high pressure operation. When the gun is released the part with the o-ring is forced down resulting in the valve opening and then the pressure is by-passed.Those dont normally give trouble. Look for a blocked nozzle or a restriction somewhere in your high pressure hose.

All outflow stops when I start the motor on my Troy-bilt 2600 pressure washer. What's up?

Could also be crack/leak in HP pump. If it were left in cold weather without antifreeze, I'd check there first. Part + labor might warrant new washer if more than a couple years old.
Sorry.

Compressor won't restart when pressure gets low. How do I fix it?

The unloader is designed to release the pressure in the discharge tube after the unit reaches set pressure. The unloader is usually located within the pressure switch and is enabled with a small lever opening a valve (some look like tire stem). You can verify if it is working by cycling compressor and listening for release of air after unit reaches set pressure. Some compressors do not have a built-in unloader relying instead on loose fitting parts to bleed out air. On these units, air leaking back from the intank checkvalve will cause problem of loaded/backpressure and the motor cannot overcome. Easy to verify if checkvalve is leaking; with pressure in tank remove the discharge tube at the checkvalve and spray soapy water. Clean or replace this valve as needed. Good luck

When the compressor pressures up to set point (125psi) the unloader port opens but remains open therefore the tank begins to loose pressure. In addition when the tank pressure drops to startup set point...

The unloader port should only unload the compressor head, so there is a valve leaking in the system, probably where the fitting that the unloader valve tees into and that also takes the compressor head output to the receiver. With the receiver at pressure, if you remove the unloader line there should not be any air coming out of it.

I HAVE ZT30 ATLASCOPCO AIR COMPRESSOR.THE FAULT PROBLEM ON IT NOW IS THAT IT DOES NOT COMPRESS(LOAD) AND DISCHARGE (UNLOAD) AUTOMATICALLY, IT LOADS AND UNLOAD ONLY IF I MANUALLY OPEN THE MANUAL VENT...

It sounds like the unload valve might be clogged up. Try taking it off anf cleaning it back up. If the compressor is older or has had a lot of use sometimnes when the rings wear oil and gunge will get into the valve and gum it up. good luck

I have the Troy-bilt 2550 psi pressure washer with a Briggs & Stratton engine (model# 020337). Originally, it would start and die immediately. I took the pump apart and cleaned out the unloader valve...

I would replace the internal part of the unloader valve, it is known as the unloader seat, I can order you one it would take 2-3 days, Part number is 193972 price is $45.06. If you are interested in ordering one send me a email at [email protected] with the information that I just gave you.

Another thing that you can check is the outlet check valve, the tube that you screw your high pressure hose onto has a valve built into it, if that valve went bad or if there is something stuck in it you would also have this problem. If you take the tube off the valve will be right where you screw that pipe onto the pump, the valve is part number 190592, price on this is $8.16.
