if this is a top loader. the capacity is that as long as ur load is moving freely when adgitating is a good load. if its not moving freely its too much laundry
There is a bolt that holds this together that screws into shaft. Is the upper agitator broke? Or the ratcheting part in the center? Give full model number to further assist you.
