If refridgerator , valve may be bad , or the circuits that control icemaker or water thru door have an open circuit or fuse blown. Check with meter when using water dispenser. It will shock you with whatever voltage is standard from wall outlets so be careful and use insulated gloves, shoes and have a dry floor.

Why is fresh water tank filling up when hooked up to city water?

Many RVs have the plumbing to fill the fresh water tank from the city water hook up. This valve is usually near the city water hook up and labeling is similar to "city water" and "tank fill". Another anomaly from leaving the valve in the "tank fill" position is that, when not connected to city water, the on board pump may run continuously and the water volume is very low.

I just bought a used kenmore elite side by side refrigerator and hooked up the water line to the back of the fridge. My question is where does the long water line the goes to the fridge and comes back...

Where you hook the house water line is to the water inlet valve which is a one in two out solonoid controlled valve. One side goes to the water dispenser in the door and the other hooks to the ice maker connection.

So I suspect the long water line you are talking about has had the lines switched at the valve and needs reversed. The long line probably goes up the back of the unit and connects to the ice maker. The one for the water dispenser should hook to the water chiller resevoir and then to the water dispenser.

I INSTALLED A NEW TOTO #51 TOILET ,EVRY THING WORKED GREAT, JUST WONT STOP RUNNIG WATER .ITS NOT OVER FLOWING. YOU CAN HEAR WATER RUNNIG OUT OF TANK, I PUSHED DOWN ON FLAPPER TO GET BETTER SEAL DIDNT ...

There are only three places tank could leak without running on floor; 1 Flapper valve, even though you push on it, theres a possibility it might not be saeling right especially if it has a rubber ring that slides down over overflow tube. Tjis will sometimes contort the shape of the flapper. If it has such a ring and also has the ears to hook on to the hooks on overflow drain assembly, take the flapper out and cut the ring off . 2 if the overflow tube is not sealed and/or carcked below the water line, it will leak. 3 If the main drain assembly, where it goes through tank, is not sealed, it could possibly be getting past and still not leaking past seal between tank and bowl. Some fill valves will run a couple of seconds intermittantly and have to be adjusted but will not run all the time.

The water is not coming into the dishwasher, and the water line is clear. We suspect it is the pump. Any thoughts? Model # FDB658RAC1 SERial # TH22416354

I've got the same problem. Pulled out unit and noticed the line from the sink valve connects to an electric valve under the unit. No water comes past this point. Going to replace the electric valve since all water must past through it in order to fill the tub inside.

Ge s/s icemake floods water

Icemaker generally has only about a 6 second fill time. Most likely a particle made it past the screen in the fill valve and would not allow the internal diaphram in the valve to seal. You can't get to the internal parts of the valve. Replace the valve. Consider an in-line filter installation before the refrig hook up to prevent this from repeating.

Dishwasher not cleaning properly

a low water level will certainly cause your problem. the water valve may indeed be bad. first, check the water level mid-cycle. let the machine really get going. then crack the door. let the water stop flying around. and open it up to check the water level inside the machine. your heating element should be partially or even completely submerged.
if the level is high enough, your water valve is most likely fine. and i have no idea what to do.
if the level is low, the valve may need replaced. another common reason for this is low water pressure in the entire house. a new valve will not help you (or me). if you are handy, you can pull the 'restrictor plate' out of the inlet valve. it is under the screen filter where the water line hooks up. it looks like a washer with a small hole in the middle for the water to flow through. it should pop right out for you. this will allow the water to flow in more freely. don't forget to put the screen filter back in.
also, that screen being clogged may cause your problem. good luck

Never hooked up one green line running bottom to top with plastic nuts . one valve at bottom looks like a tire valve stem. is this the inlet water line hookup

Do not hook water to the "tire valve stem"! That is probably a freon access valve. Hooking water to that will ruin the refrigeration system.
